Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament ~predictions thread~
D7: samurai7694
D6: Bluearrowll D5: Hakulyte D4: popsicle_3000 D3: funmonkey54 D2: Garquillex D1: Xiz I'm fully aware I could make more guesses for the lower divisions but I no nothing about these players so I'll just go with one's I've heard of or somewhat seen. Pretty confident with samurai7694 winning D7 though assuming he submits every round. Last edited by ssbmchamp; 01-22-2013 at 10:26 AM.. |

Zomg people think I might win D1 !!!
Thanks for your support, and I promise I will put everything I got into it, but at the end of the day I feel this gif would best describe me in D1: The man represents me: The ice represents how I will do in D1:

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament ~predictions thread~
hi! Thanks for calling me a genius.
I also realized that his teens on FGOs still don't make him front-runner in comparison to people like Tidus810, XNiX, AD4M-V, Darkomni, Hairy Cabbage... the list goes on, lmfao. Even some of the middle-runners of D5 have FGO scores that Hakulyte can't touch. Yeah, I'm aware of his SDG on Breakbeat Acid, but given that the file is relatively unlayered and is composed of a ton of stream, it's considerably easier for Hakulyte to read at his obscenely low speed-mod. Screencut or not, it's not easy to read dense files at that speed (and I would know - I can SDG files like {Rose} on < 0.5x without a speedcut). Hakulyte should do alright this tournament, but I personally don't see him being an overwhelming force. He'll be strong for sure, but considering that he's been an argued person for the past few years, I think it's time that the other side of the argument gets supported. Like it or not, he's staying D5. As far as my predictions: D7: Staiain (learn FFR and make me proud) D6: shadow 1800, EtienneSM D5: Darkomni, Tidus810, ca25nada (people are probably going to be mad about ca25nada being in D5, but I placed him in D5 in the 6th Official and I still side with it now, despite a 1g run on Love & Justice, which is a very focused chart) D4: Jub, MephBoss, Salitz, supermoe1985 (should be an interesting division) D3: axith, Megmo, MracY, PrawnSkunk, funmonkey54 Not really gonna guess D2/D1 because I don't know. |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament ~predictions thread~
Thanks for the vote, but there's no way that'll happen I'll get through the first couple rounds, but as soon as the song difficulty gets over 45-50 I don't think I have a chance. Based off of last tournament that'll happen in round 4, iirc.
D7: samurai7694 D6: alloyus, TK_unreal D5: MrPopadopalis25, rushyrulz, Hairy Cabbage D4: thesunfan, badman7772, emulord, NocturneAunamic D3: Axith, chrysler, Skeelie, Prawnskunk, femanic D2: niope, SethColeman, xMUSICxMASTERx, Sephiroth28, Minorfault, Romal D1: Aticabeu, Teh Avenger, Noobmenael, Xenorsth, _Rainbow Dash_, Toxophilis, ballet dude |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament ~predictions thread~
I'm out by Round 4 imo, I just lack the FGO skills. Breakbeat Acid just happens to be "easy to read" and lack most of the patterns I'm bad at.
D7: TC_Halogen (everyone said samurai ZzZzz..) D6: EtienneSM, TK_unreal D5: ca25nada, Darkomni, Tidus810 D4: Jub, MephBoss, Salitz, supermoe1985 D3: axith, Megmo, MracY, PrawnSkunk, funmonkey54 D2: niope, SethColeman, xMUSICxMASTERx, Sephiroth28, Minorfault, Romal D1: Aticabeu, Teh Avenger, Noobmenael, Xenorsth, _Rainbow Dash_, Toxophilis, ballet dude Last edited by Hakulyte; 01-22-2013 at 01:15 PM.. |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament ~predictions thread~
It's not a matter of being able to do the file; it's the fact that the focus of the file is focused on stream/jumpstream, which is something that a lot of D5 players can do. It's not a particularly complex file, it's just a lot of running 16ths. If you look on the high score boards, you'll see that there are a few D5 players peppered in the top scores too (Findarian: 3-1-0-1, as a standout example).

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament ~predictions thread~
Findarian improved and requested D6. The 16th JS on Love & Justice is not the hard part, it's every 24th sections. I'm more upset to see Darkomni with 57-5-11-7 on do i smile? It's hard to evaluate real skill with levelranks like that.
@ anubis: Evaluating D1-D2 for me is like trying to win lottery so, I'll just believe in you~ Last edited by Hakulyte; 01-22-2013 at 01:35 PM.. |
