Well, after cheking mapleglobal.com, I saw oni still had all his equips on after all this time which leads me to believe this may not be a hacker, but some kind of problem with the game? Kinda like the problem people were having with gameguard restarting the computer. If it was a hacker I imagine oni's stuff would've been taken by now. Worst case scenario is you were both hacked, best case scenario is it's a problem with the game or something cause if I recall oni said it was ONLY his password that changed, which is pretty odd.

Bandit, if you know for sure your secret question answer, email it to wizet with all your old info and I'm sure you'll be able to recover the pass. Gonna suck big if you lose your account =(

Have you thought about being banned for account sharing? Although I doubt that was the problem, it still is a slight possibility.

I heard it has to do with some browser exploit in Firefox. Not certain, though, and that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, the way it was explained. I'd post it, but it was on GamerzPlanet discussion, got deleted by the mods. Something's up. This is recent news.

EDIT: Just read the thread, I'm pretty sure there's an exploit for it, I don't know it myself, I have no reason to.

I thought people figured it out in May or so, and it was only around until late July, I may be wrong though. I heard that was what had happened to Tiger so he requested a temp ban, though this all may be rumors (and I know no one cares about Tiger anyway.)

-Make sure you have mozilla firefox.
-Make sure you have installed the IE tab for firefox. Look for this by looking at mozilla firefox add-ons.
-Next, go to the 'Tools' bar in Firefox, and click on 'IE Tab Options'. Add ' http://www.mapleglobal.com'
-Make sure you have an account which you know ALL information on (email, email password, last name, etc. EVERYTHING).
-Open Mozilla Firefox, and type in ' www.mapleglobal.com' for the URL adddress.
-Log in with the account that you know all of the information for. Access the edit password screen.
-Once entered in the 'edit password' screen with one account, log into your account in a NEW TAB. (Access a new tab by pressing 'Ctrl + T'.
-Now, go back to the tab with the edit password screen.
When it asks 'enter your previous password'.
When it asks 'enter your new password', type your new password here.
-Now, click on save changes, and it will say your account needs to be verified. The verification email will be sent to the email of the account WHICH YOU KNOW ALL OF THE INFORMATION TO!
-Once you have the verification code, login to www.mapleglobal.com with login ID and enter your new pass, and it should prompt you with a screen asking for the verification code. Make sure that there are NO SPACES BEFORE OR AFTER the verification code.

This is new. Within the past 2-3 days. It probably didn't happen to you, Oni. Odds are not Banditcom either, since it didn't really spread. Just the only possiblity I can think of, really.

Luckily for me my account name is really obscure and unobvious. Something you'd never think I'd have the username for.

Bad thing is that they're looking for your character, and try to link it to your account or something. Banditcom's account name probably could've been opi29sdfhi.

This can be used to make someone else's account completely open to you. Why then have no items been stolen from Oni or bandit?

I can't imagine it'd be too difficult to break a PIN, especially if the malicious account stealer has a 120+ hermit waiting on the other side of the PIN.

We must be talking about something different O_O
The mapleglobal exploit is DEFINATELY not "new"
A lot of people started figuring it out and I >HEARD< they fixed it.
This is all based on what people have said.
And when I say it's not new.... I mean there has at least been an exploit on the site which lets you change someones password, I'm assuming it is the same.


Edit: I'm honestly starting to think that we may be too paranoid about this problem... I know it sounds optomistic but if it were a hacker, I honestly think all my stuff would've been taken by now (If someone takes the time to find peoples Login IDs, I'm sure they would take the time to guess a pin number) Hopefully this is all just a glitch on INCA/NXgames/Wizet's part. If not I am 99% sure I will quit this game because warrior is just too damn boring.

Seriously, you better stop by at least level 80. Don't be a dur about it.

Oh yeah, DupeX got patched. Well, not really, the undetected Cheat Engines did though. I never really tried it for myself, but it looks fun and very easy to make. Just mess around with dbk32 and stuff.

So yeah, all obvious UCE are patched, I feel fine talking about it here. Even if a tard tries to Google it, they won't find crap. They'll just have their computer restarted when GameGuard loads up.

Tosh, I hate to sound rude, but here 'goes

I'm a 93 priest first off (not at all angry that you don't know my level, just saying)

I have already stopped hacking on my spearman and I absoultely love how you make it sound like just because I am a lower level than Jason I don't really matter (Thats how I read your "Banditcom is a level 121(or maybe 122 by now) hermit. You're an (7-9X) cleric, who has a hacked spearman as a side thingy." comment and I appologize if it isnt what you meant.) Just because I have a hacked spearman my priest suddenly doesn't matter? Good point. Next time I start something, I'll make sure I start hacking from day one and not tell anyone to make sure I can be the highest level, and then if anything happens to my account it will actualy matter.

As for other things:

1.) Dupex is not patched
2.) UCEs are not patched
3.) Pretty much nothing is patched
4.) Godmode is a bit harder to get working
5.) In most cases fly d/cs you after 4 seconds
6.) As for your quote about "obvious UCEs are patched" or something, I assume by obvious you mean leaked/public UCEs.... which are also not patched >_>;
7.) UCEs are a LOT harder to make now, read up about Jumper.c, kestackattatchprocess, and other basic hooks, you can't just make a basic UCE anymore
8.) You seem not to know as much as you think about this kind of thing (again, I'm attempting not to be rude)

Ok thats about all, I'm not trying to be selfish about this situation but it is really starting to hit me that after playing a game for a year and a month, I am left without my character.

In other words I'm just really pissed off about things I probably shouldn't be right now and I took offense to your post in more than one way. You made it sound like my character wasn't important in your eyes in any way and that I didn't work hard at all to make my spearman (I admit it was not hard at all in-game, but outside of the game it is not an easy task)

I appologize for this entire post.
