Are your arms giving out or is it a timing problem? You can do 12ths instead of 16ths on the reds and pass as long as you hit the bass drum/yellow pad consistently. Try that and see if it helps.

Also this week in DLC = freakin' awesome. Both A7X songs are amazing and so is the Offspring song.

Yeah, it's beastly. I have so much more respect for The Rev; I tried playing Critical Acclaim on drums/vocals and the part where he sings and drums is so ****ing difficult I dunno how he can do it live.

The Afterlife solo is ****ing ridiculous, I got 67% on it sightread lol. Scraped a pass, the rest is easy so I got the 5*. IMO it's the hardest solo in the game besides Blackened.

But yeah, Afterlife is pretty easy then whoa my gawd hard in the solo (the main riff is tough too but not too bad). Critical Acclaim isn't that difficult, it's just got some strumming stuff and a few runs, but it's a ****ing awesome song. Hammerhead is pretty simple all around except for drums which feels kinda like the Blackened main riff with less bass drum.

Mal - I find that if you hold the drum sticks loosely, you can double tap the drum and it will count as 2 hits for the effort of one. Your wrists can move a lot slower during the red part and everything. Save your Overdrive for the solo so you can have breaks every now and then, then when you get to the solo completely neglect the pedal. I had a lot of trouble with the pedal for like a month after I passed RttH, but it becomes a lot easier with practice.

Another good song to double tap is the beginning of Foreplay/Longtime and Perfect Drug during the chorus. I find I can combo a lot better if I double tap those. =)

EDIT: Wtf, that solo is harder then Blackened's solo IMO hahah. How is that only T8 though, shouldn't it be a 9?

If anyone bought new drums for RttH or something you wasted your money + you could of had better drums. The sock mod works ridicoulously well compared to any other mods on any other drums.

Ah. Finally got my first 100% (not an FC, overstepped on a bass) to finally get the Flawless Drummer achievement.. and to pass Dore by 200 points on Gimme Shelter on Scorehero.

Scores were too close not to recognize the name.

Sock mod? I didn't waste my money, my red drum was barely working, so I had to buy a new one anyways.

Sock mod works wonders I use ski hats/pieces of hoodies instead of socks but it's the same concept. I'd link you, s0ul, but SH won't load for me ATM.

Why buy a new set when you can just get a free new replacement from their support website? But if you hate waiting, or you just have some spare socks to try out, then yeah, you can use it.

My (newer) drumset has yet to break on me in any way. I'm quite happy with it, and nothing is wrong with it.

I might consider downloading Avenged Sevenfold once I get the points as well.

So I'm downloading the 2 AX& songs and The Offspring one. The Disturbed pack as it was cheap. All the small things and Date with the night. I've got about 900 points left now. And I still need 2 Metallica songs (Blackend, and Justice for I dunno lol). I want two Oasis songs but I'm also leaning towards the NiN pack as I did like The Hand That Feeds.

Plus there are one or two others like Beethoven's C*** or whatever two.

Any suggestions? Or any help prioritizing as I do intend to get like almost all the DC anyway.

Critical Acclaim was pretty meh. If I didn't like the song I'd be pretty bored.

I used an old T-shirt instead, and let me tell you. THIS IS AWESOME! I just FC'ed the whole solo to Don't Fear The Reaper for the first time in practice mode on full speed. I can't believe how much better the red drum works now. thechild and Dore, thanks a lot!! Now I must play every song and improve everything. ^^
