Anyone ever wonder why I say to always level up with Int equipment on?
Bonky, you're about a hundred MP under my Cleric at level 50. The difference gets wider and wider too. |

3RD JOB =OOOOOOO
![]() Here's what happened while fighting dark dances with balrog. I get there, and I find out he can blind you. Much to my dislike, I used all my all cure whilst grinding at zombies. So I have to leave and buy some eye drops -_- Take 2: ![]() Really annoying fight. He uses this magic attack every 2 seconds or so that does roughly 1.2k damage. ![]() So, it's going meh so far. I get to the holy stone, give it the dark crystal, and do fine until question 4 which I need hs.net for. When I get back to MS, it says I dc'd. SDFHSJKHSAKJLFHSALKJFH WASTED A FCKING DARK CRYSTAL THANK YOU VERY MUCH. So I log back on pretty pissed, luckily find a guy in fm selling 10, and go back for the quesitons. No dc this time. Lol white knight. ![]() ![]() I then realize fire charge just added 9 points to MAGIC. WTF? It seems ok though since I pulled 3.7k on a jeti and 3.6k on a hector, damage I couldn't do before. So yea. The big grind is done. |

Yeah, and good job with that. I could never get a warrior to 70, no matter how much time I had.

You've just inspired me to grind to get to lvl 70. Oh well, 15 levels and 20% to go before i get there, I hope Dances with balrog will be alright for me.

Fluorescent we're all (most of us Bera players) in Xqsite because it's this site's guild.
At 50% of 50, gonna level tomorrow probably, going to sleep though I don't seem THAT sleepy, might play some more. |

Squeek: I heard that the int thing wasn't true, that people made pure-int warriors and such and didn't get more int. I will compare my pure int on jMS to my luck mage here to see, but if it makes much of a different, it's pretty minimal. =\ Pure int is still the way to go, though, due to MASSIVE POWERRRRRR!!!111one

People are idiots EB. I've done actual tests, they do stupid tests like "Oh I had more Int this level than last level and I got less MP so you're wrong."
My idiot friend forgot to level with Int stuff on once. He normally got 75, that level he got 68. This isn't even the only evidence I have. I did studies of this thing for months before I proved that Int affects MP gain. And more Int doesn't mean you'll get more MP, it just increases the scale. You know how Mages get +10-14 HP every levelup, right? No more, no fewer. The MP scale is similar, but it's +40 thanks to Max MP Increase and it gets higher and higher thanks to Int. So all you do with more Int is make the range of numbers possible for your MP gain increase a little more. You're 90 or close to it, right? My level 90 Priest has 6,062 MP. Compare. Everyone else I've compared to who wasn't lukless has fewer MP than I do. And when I say fewer, I don't mean fifty or something. I mean 300. Last edited by Squeek; 07-29-2006 at 12:41 PM.. |

Random question, but assuming something with weak against fire and strong against poison, what would happen if you casted a F/P's Magic Composition? Would the fire do 1.5x damage and poison get a .5x multiplier? Or would everything do normal damage since it's strong and weak to these. Or would it go to .75x damage since 1.5x1x.5=.75?
What about an I/L in a similar situation? And yeah, at level 30, pure ints have about 100-300 more MP than a normal build. The stat gains are supposedly randomized about 4 points per levelup, and the same for advancing. I can't comfirm this, though. This is based on what some people tried out on SW.net. EDIT: Oh, and I think Squeek's proven it. Last edited by ToshX; 07-29-2006 at 01:46 PM.. |

At 26, YingYangTwin (with luck, wearing a brown bamboo, too, rofl XD) had 1019.
At 26, ebFFR (pure int) had 1069. He also has 12 more hp, though, so that small difference can be chalked up to being lucky. At 2nd job advance, YYT went from 1238 to 1701. 463 change. At 2nd job advance, ebFFR went from 1297 to 1788. 491 change. At 36, YYT had 2038 mp. At 36, ebFFR has 2144 mp. So even if there is a difference, it's not very big. 90 more mp from int (since 30 is from the job advance) in ~30 levels is no thang. Seriously, never will even a couple hundred mp matter much to a mage. More MP is no reason to go pure int or worry a lot about int gear, but more damage definitely is. And my level 88 mage has 5734 mp. He had 5652 last level, so he gained 82 last level. Assuming he gains that again, he'll have 5898 mp by 90. Yeah, big ****ing deal, I'll have ~160 less than you. ![]() EDIT: Rofl Tosh I can't believe you don't know how compo works. The game treats comp is 2 shots, 1 fire shot of 75 base damage and 1 poison shot of 75 base damage, combined after any elemental effects. Thus, the 150 base damage gets half as much of a boost from an elemental advantage. If something is weak to just fire or poison, it gets a 1.25x boost (or drawn out, 75*1.5 for fire + 75 for poison). This is part of why I won't be getting compo any time soon. Let's compare to fire arrow. Fire Arrow's base attack vs something... resisting fire: 60 neutral: 120 weak to fire: 180 F/P composition's base attack vs something... resisting both fire and poison: 75 resisting just fire or just poison: neutral: 150 resists one but weak to the other: 150 weak to just fire or just poison: 187.5 weak to both fire and poison: 225 Note: There is nothing in gMS weak to both fire and poison, so the most it can really have for us is 187.5, which is barely more than fire arrow has normally. In jMS, however, all the gangsters are weak to both fire AND poison, so compo would do massive damage to them all. The only things weak to poison in gMS now are in Aquaroad, and they all resist fire, so that boost doesn't even matter. Also note: Some things more than resist things. For example, Coolies and other poison-based monsters take 1 dmg from poison. Thus, if you used FP on them, it would lose half of its dmg cuz the poison part would do 1 dmg. In cases like this, fire arrow is much stronger.

To use AC, I have to downgrade my game to patch .22.
That sucks. But it works, at least. |

Okay, question on my 2nd job advance for warriors. I was thinking about being a spearman, but its slow attack. My question is does spearman have any mobbing attacks? If it does then thats what im going to be.
