On the note of someone saying I was a shitty host: This person was pretty upset at his song choice as well. Even though his stats show he should, in theory, be very even with his opponent on it. I will not change the tiebreaker rule though. This is the only way I feel to guarantee a non tie breaking result, without a landslide victory. This rule is based off the assumption that you've been placed in the correct division. The only time this rule has a flaw is if I've misplaced you, which in that case, I have been a bad host. In short (tl;dr): I'm not mad at Zero at all, I understand where he's coming from. It's things like this that help me to be a better host to you guys. As for how it went down, I might be a little less likely to use the DF engine for tie breakers so I can check your stats next go around so that it seems more fair song choice wise. I don't give easy wins in my tournies, you have to work hard for them. I'm going to keep it that way. Now please guys if you have a thought on this, PM it please. I'd like to talk to you there rather than clog the thread with walls of text. Thank you. |

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Wow. So much text, not enough scores. I would've probably read all of this even though it's total "csb" if I was home but thank God I got lost in a forest for 10 hours, even though I almost ended up eating one of my friends cause I was ****ing hungry.
P.S. Although, I did literally take a bite on this chick's leg

I feel you could win pretty easily here. Just fc the song and get 2 goods less and I would be in trouble because I have not been able to clean up the score i first posted. As far as not liking the song goes, just play it without sound? Last edited by Samwais; 07-28-2011 at 12:44 AM.. |

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Actually I knew. I joked with him that I was gonna extend the round a day but he said no.
I also don't remember if he asked for for an extension so if he needed/wanted one he'd be able to take it. |

I don't really know many 8's, so... 'eh, Middie can pick mine. :P
Also, I'm disgusted at how difficult people find Winnipeg. o.0;

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Thank you middie, for taking the points I made into consideration. I don't find you a terrible host for this (just had to bust it out cause you commented on how "at least [i] didn't call [you] a terrible host" in prochat, figured I'd give a light ribbing in here for that).
And yes, it would've been a bit more fair I feel to pick a song from FFR as our tiebreaker, because with as rusty as I am I'm doing horrible on charts with hands, and most of my level ranks will show that (can't even SDG In The Wind l0l). I'm just not able to read fast enough atm to PA them properly and tend to handle walls of hands as walls of quads (hence the stupid boo counts I was getting). Either way, I knew yo man was gonna win after we compared some FGO scores via PM (PS, you delete replays by clicking the [X] next to them). Any way, good luck to the rest of the players involved, and was fun going into double over time against you yo man. Just wish it had been a bit more fair of a pick as the final tie breaker so we could've had an epic tiebreaker showdown instead of you just steamrolling me lmfao. |

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Guru please don't pick something super hard for me, like AIM Anthem or Club that'd be a dick move lol then I'll pick something like Sparkle Downer, and I could get 3g clean on it easly.
Just saying I chose an easy song for Plan, and so did he (kinda).

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
See, normally I'd be more than happy to do this, but I'm not sure whether or not I'm willing to pass up Yoshl. We'll see.

Re: Midnight's Summer Tourney
Well Yo Man, there's still a chance YOSHl will win or lose. So I dunno if someone's willing to switch I'm more than happy to move it accordingly...
What was I thinking giving it to you since you pretty much had one x.x |
