9 hours' sleep later, and I'm ready to try this again.
I think I only need 5 and the last part of 4 now. |

We have our first solver! Tasselfoot!
7000 points also to anyone who solves it in the next three hours. In general, though: Points will now be allocated by time starting at Oct6, 8 EST: -100 per hour for 20 hours, -75 for the next 10, -50 for the next 25 Once it reaches 3000 points, that will be the minimum Last edited by MrRubix; 10-6-2007 at 04:06 AM.. |

Well... I guess I'll give up and just do the bonus, lol.
P.S. Rubix, you put Mitch twice on the player ranks. :P

Thanks for the catch -- my spreadsheet's case-sensitive and I had capitalized the T, lol. Will be more careful.

Kilik: I have posted some clues in the main page (a link to a blog on my profile) to help you move along. I'm always willing to give little hints here and there if you need them -- this round isn't meant to kill people off, lol, don't stress!

Kekeb: That's not Mitch solving a cube. I can't count that.

I removed it once I actually watched the video lol
Mitch: You need to solve the cube on your own to get the points. I won't disqualify you since it's a random bonus, but please follow instructions more carefully. To all else: I posted more hints in my blog. If you read the hints, toil some more, and are still stick, let me know and I'll add more hints. Last edited by MrRubix; 10-6-2007 at 10:56 AM.. |

Hints don't help. High school sophmore can't understand this. 3 is blatantly obvious for the first part but I DON'T KNOW BINARY OR TERNARY!

There are plenty of free websites that translate binary/ternary to decimal easily. You're allowed to use help/google/etc for these challenges.

I'm sure #5 has to be easier than I making it out to be. It's the only one where I'm drawing a complete blank, even after seeing the hint.

And the rest, still makes no sense. 1 you said was tricky, but I think I got it. With a little help from my Algebra teacher. No if there is something I'm not seeing, *stared at this for 3 hours straight yesterday with nothing* then please say it.

#5 is pretty easy. How many main "aspects" do we normally pay attention to on a clock? If something's not a number, what else could it be?

Got all aspects that everyone pays attention to, and still I get this _______________________________
I'm hopeless. So again, I'm done.

On another note, I'm trying to figure out how to do the bonus. I don't have a camera, so I'm messing about with screen recorders and online cubes. Now all I need to do is look up how to solve the things.
