I thought that Nintendo had a thing where everyone who bought it early got the browser included or something.
Gay. How much does the browser cost?

It's free. It's just not out yet (the free download).
I JUST NOW set mine up and I can't play it because I have school tomorrow and a paper due. Oh well. Took me forever to find a good place for the sensor bar. I was hoping I could go down, but I had to go up. Bandit, you know how I said it would be readily available? Yes, I camped out. I was half in a line of 78 people. At 6:45AM, the 78th person showed up. You could've EASILY gotten one. The major problem wasn't console quantities, but games. They had 60 Zeldas for 78 Wiis. Only one person didn't want Zelda in our line. Oh, and they ran out of Monkey Ball at about 50. The next shipment is like a week away or something, so it's not like it's the end of the world. And Super Monkey Ball is the greatest game I've played so far. Once I finish my paper that's due tomorrow, I'll be spending some quality time with Wii Sports. I so cannot wait. ps - self reminder to post story tomorrow. I haven't slept in over 40 hours. I think I should catch up on that. Last edited by Squeek; 11-19-2006 at 10:54 PM.. |

So wait, are the virtual console games 100% free? Are ALL of them free? What online stuff do you have to pay for as far as the Wii goes?
Also, is the Wii totally wireless, or can you just plug it into your router/whatever too? I may need to get a wireless router if I get a Wii later on. XD Sorry, I'm just not up to date on the network issues with the Wii. Everybody focused on like, EVERYTHING ELSE, so I never really knew the details of any of that stuff.

VC games cost money. About $5 is the average.
The Opera browser is free; it's just not in yet. It's completely wireless. There's no ethernet port on the back. The good news is that CompUSA is doing a Thanksgiving Midnight sale and they will have two wireless routers there that are both under five dollars. |

FIVE DOLLARS
WHAT A RIP OFF I WOULD RATHER BUY A NES CART FOR 25 CENTS THAN PAY FIVE ****ING DOLLARS WHAT THE HELL Naw, just kidding. I'd be willing to spend 20$ on many of the classics, and upwards of 30$ for some of the greats.

NES = $2
SNES = $5 N64 = $10 I believe they priced Genesis and something else before Genesis. Genesis titles will be $8. Keep comments coming and I will attempt to answer them. After I sleep. |

So I hear all of the Wii launch games were major dissapointments. Apparently even TP didn't live up to the hype. Except I hear Wii sports was pretty good.
This make things a lot easier for me since now I don't have to stress about getting one so soon ^_^ |

TP does live up to the hype and then some according to many reliable sources, such as Matt over at IGN which he touted as the best Zelda game ever made.

And you know its good when all my friends want to get a Wii just for Twilight Princess.
I have a lot of friends who have never OWNED a single console in their life and now they want to get the Wii. Even better, they want to get a Wii to play Twilight Princess. For me, that is enough sign that the Wii is going to be good as well as Twilight Princess. Or Nintendo's marketing strategy is really working. ~Tsugomaru |

I think this is pretty cool. Too bad these are my roommates and he has already sold 'em on ebay, otherwise we'd be playing them right now. Still pretty cool to have both

Apparently TP controls better on GC than it does the Wii, that was the dissapointment part.
Which is making me consider getting the GC version instead. No doubt it's a great game. Just not done for the Wii. |

So NONE of the virtual console games are free? That's such crap. They just wanna squeeze more money out of us. Emulators ftw, especially since Wii prolly lacks a TURBO feature. XD
Wait, is playing people online free? IT BETTER BE! >=O

Online play is free. Some people want VC games so they can play it on a TV rather than a computer and a controller rather than a keyboard. Oh, and not to mention that this is legal.
I won't be getting VC games. Grandia haha. The GCN version of Twilight Princess isn't even freakin' OUT yet. HOW CAN ANYONE SAY IT'S BETTER OR WORSE! Your source of information is an idiot. Need I remind you what I said earlier? There were 78 Wiis in the Target I camped outside. There were 77 people who wanted Zelda. |

Grandia, every place I've read reviews from love the controls over the old way of controls. Especially aiming. Also, little things like being able to run and slash at the same time gives a great feeling I'm told.
I'll let you know once I get it. |

Seth, I'll play Red Steel after I finish this paper.
I just played some Sports. Much fun. Bowled a 187 on my first game, got a Bronze on the Bowling challenge, Hit 5 home runs in the home run contest, and lost a tennis match. Edit: See, here's my problem. I HAVEN'T PLAYED ZELDA YET. I HAVE SO MANY PROBLEMS. Take-home exam, work on Sunday, several Wii parties, 12-page essay, 50,000 word novel... way too much to all have to deal with as soon as this amazing device was released. Im actually more excited about Wii Sports than I am about some big name games for release. My friend down the road is getting one on release too so I'm really excited about Wii Play as well. Could be a barrel of laughs. I've changed my mind about games I'll get now. Its now Zelda, Red Steel, Monkey Ball and Wii Play.
