Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
Hysteria isn't a particularly hard drum song but it has lots of interesting, unique patterns. There's some interesting syncopation that takes a bit to get used to, but is really rewarding to learn.

You know once GH4 comes out this game is gonna be s***, GH4 will destroy this, yet I will still play RB cuz I like most of the song.

I can't wait to laugh my ass off at what they're gonna do to expert drums on the new GH game. It'll be a standard beat and the chart will be 16ths on the hat with double kicks on every beat and snare triplets on every downbeat. Oh and a crash or two every measure. 8)

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
GH never really learnt did they =/ . But you, someone has to cater for the more experienced players.
So anyway, finally got round to playing this at home. I'm up to Run to the Hills and have sightread 5 starred everything so far on Guitar. It's pretty easy I'd say but a lot of fun. I much preferred Reptillia on RB than GH but I much prefered GH's When We Were Young. I failed hard at the hammerons to start like, still kinda sucking though. I blame GHIII's easy hammerons that made me drop in skill. Ah well =D It'll be fun to pick up again.

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
I got to borrow this game with all of the instruments save a second guitar, here's what I got:
Guitar: Pass of GGAHT on sightread, got 280k, was a 5-star as well heh. Thrasher pass with PS3 Strat (!!!) GGAHT 350k after a little practice, terrible at this with the crappy strat gah. Thrasher 83k with strat, FCed odd riff and got 98% on the break, 4-star is possible with it, requires FC of second solo though, which I can't do. Vocals: Got to expert after about 2 days of practice. RTTH 5-star, very fun to do imo, hard intro heh. Sabotage 5-star, super fun. Thrasher FC, 2nd on SH woo. |

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
Thrasher on drums is so damn hard.
That song even shows that the timing window is too tight for the game to handle extremely fast streams, because some parts of the song that have 32nd note drums in the song--are 24ths on the actual chart. This can be seen in the very beginning of the song, if you play it on Expert. I don't play drums naturally, so it could be just complaining a lot, but I don't know. Also, 96% on GGAHT on Expert Guitar. =D |

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
Right I really did want to say it. But, I swear to God the hammerons are not working. Lmao. Either GHIII threw me waaaaay off or it really isn't working for me.
I obviously I just got to try harder but I swear a lot of the time I'm like "no I'm sure I hit those". Practice practice practice practice >=[
