EDIT: Actually, I think I know what you mean by not above avg. I think the (#-#) thing indicates the average stats it contains. Yeah, I think I get it now. Sorry for the mishap.

Chris: I'm fairly sure Jay has a maple staff. Or Eric. One of those IL mages does, I'm almost 100% sure.

Jason: They ban you because, since they've added ranks, it's not fair to people playing MS competitively. Some people like joining the new servers to race to the highest level possible and be #1. If you know some account-sharer is gonna play 24/7 (not hard if you get several people in different timezones), you really can't compete, so it's unfair in the same way vac hacking isn't fair. Really, if they made a separate server where hacking was allowed, the game would still function normally, it would just lack any challenge and people would be much higher leveled. They only have rules against these things because they're "wrong" and unfair to others.

But still, I don't really give a damn, because even with account sharing it takes a great deal of time to level up a ton.

Also, Afro/Tank, how long did it take to find a Jr. Rog to kill? The only time I've seen him was when I was in my late 20s/early 30s or something and died in 1 hit (with MG on and everything).

IAAW, the #-# thing indicates how high or a low the stats on a piece of equipment may vary. Say an item's stats are (3-13), average would be 8 beccause it's in the middle. It gives you the average for all equipment on HS, it says it right beside the brackets as you've seen.

PLUS at level 40 it's going to be tough to level if you're weak as shiit like I am. I need someone to help support my 40's with scrolled stuff.

I understand now, and I think I know about what I gotta remember:

- Warriors will favor equips with STR bonuses.
- Mages will favor equips with INT and MP bonuses.
- Bowmen will favor equips with DEX bonuses.
- Thieves (like me) will favor equips with LUK bonuses.

Mostly right, IAAW, except that mages don't care much about MP boosts. I have almost 5k MP, but I only have like 950 HP. If my robe added a bit of HP instead of MP I'd be very happy, but it doesn't. >=(

I don't know about the rest of mages, but I have way too much MP as it is. I couldn't care less about MP.

Well every single channel was empty. Eventually Joey sat idle in one, and we all met there and waited. Shortly after I arrived on the channel (right after checking the last unchecked channel), we were all there. We were talking strategies and he spawned like right on top of us. We didn't wait long, but we searched to no avail for a long time. It's all luck, really.

2x drop rates is a useless fcking event. I tons of useless only twice as fast as I normally would for 50% on my mage at Jr.Celions.

Found an EXTREMELY under average Red Guiltian and 4 power crystal ore.

What is that anyway? 2x drops give me a negative profit of 120k?

10k for each ore = 40k.
guiltian = 40k for npc or so

200k for potions after a long run..

Power ores are worthless. I've gotten around 200+ of them in my time fighting Zombie Coolies/Soul Teddies.

@the beginner skill book: That is ownage. I hope we get something like that. The heal one is useless for me, but throwing shells would be fun as hell, and I'd love a miniature version of haste (too bad it seems to be better than the 3rd job archer skill for speed haha).

Also, is it clear whether you actually have to have a snail shell in your inventory to throw one?

For bowman, that is mostly correct. Except, some of the smarter bowman who hate spending tons of money on equips buy the str equips because it is the exact same thing as the dex equips really; whatever you get as a boost from the str you can pump directly into dex. Either way, both dex and str equips are the same... just str cost less.

EDIT: For treasure trooper, a quick way to get some moeny is to do the poetry contest. Just type in random nonsense and you get $1.50. It took a few days for mine to register.. Also, the photo contest is rather easy... Just get a pic of an animal on google or something and you get $1.50. Almost to $20 =/

It means damage from activating the charges I think. Yeah it kinda sucks. One thing that makes me regret becoming a Page is that there is no skill like explosion or dragon roar that has a huge AoE both in front and back of you.

And yeah that's another reason why BWs suck, they only go to level 70 currently. And they have an extremely high range.

EDIT: Guys I'm thinking of quitting MS again. There's nothing to look forward to for me for 3rd job. Kinda going off what Cam said. Sure archers may not be as exciting as some other classes, but think about White Knights. I will be using the SAME EXACT SKILLS that I used for 70 levels. There is absolutely NOTHING new or exciting for me. There's just no motivation =/

Why do you think I'm not playing anymore? Sure I have school work (that I'm supposed to be doing now =D) but the main factor behind it is that my ranger is just plain boring. When I start playing again (over the summer hopefully) I expect my ranger to be at least a little more fun then it was grinding on zombies for hours on end. Why don't you just take a break from maple and do something else like I'm doing now. It is great not having maple as a main part of your life because I can actually do other things now =)
