So... in honor of Stickying this thread... I played some FFR today.

These were my best scores:

Holy ****... this is easily in my top3 favorite songs on FFR, and I FINALLY FCed it (after playing it 100+ times between today and 18 months ago). Not my best PA though... best is 17 goods w/ 1 miss.

Yea... part of the reason I stopped playing FFR/SM is that my laptop doesn't register arrows well. Case in point... damn good PA though, IMO.

Again... attack of the mystery not-gonna-register. Good PA again, IMO.

AGAIN?!?. I can't wait until my new desktop arrives. Not amazing PA. Only played it twice. 1 <3 Spook though. He sent me this song to listen to like a year before it was put on FFR, right after he finished it.

2 attempts. Probably could get it down to 1-2, maybe AAA, with a better keyboard and a bunch of runs.

Not sure why I have this... I think because of the combo. I played this twice, but I'm pretty sure that for me this is a crazy combo that will be hard to touch. PA doesn't seem that great... but it is a harder song.

Some of them were from playing once on my laptop, which registers even worse than Whorli's (which is the laptop which I used for the above scores). So... really wasn't that hard to top my scores.

When I can top my ranks on files from 2+ years ago, THEN it will be impressive, considering how many times I played every one of those.

EDIT: I should be able to FC all of those except Fantranstic once I get my desktop... because the 3 non-FCs are all fairly easy, but the number of times I get BS non-registering arrows is ridiculous.

Fantran is meh, although I don't really know how hard the streams would be for you.

Shash... THATS why I had it. Yea... those streams are REALLY fast for me. I managed to combo a bunch of them in a row. And why is the PS so much better than the rest? Its a damn easy song... nothing tricky about it.

lunatic... I was decent about 18 months ago. I've played like 2-3 hours total of FFR since then (0 SM). And that was with playing 3-4 hours a day. My speed and reading ability are absolutely awful right now, and my accuracy is so-so.

Erm, Pondering isn't all that easy IMO...I just played it (on my crappier computer, but still) and got the same score as you (6 goods), whereas on all that other stuff I'd rarely get more than one. It's got some really strange rhythms and the arrows start going to different parts of the song so it gets confusing as hell...meh, I dunno, I guess different stuff is easy for different people.

EDIT: Pretty nice Noir stlunatic.

Yea... I'm decent at doing off-beat stuff, reading the arrows more than going to the music. At least, for slower songs. That's probably why it doesn't bother me that much.

I expect some serious improvement out of myself once my desktop comes. Pity I'll have to wait until July to test it out.

Yeah I know I can. For some reason I have a LOT of trouble reading ~step 140. It's just a crazy combination of about 10-15 arrows, right after the 2nd quick voltage. It's ****ing weird. I don't have much trouble with the jacks except for the very last one because I space out sometimes.
