Re: ITG/DDR Scores
I don't know how you guys can do footspeed so well but lack some stamina. For me I *have* to start on stamina first and then have the footspeed come naturally as I build up more, haha.
Then again it might just be my cobalt flux. I can minimize movement on 8th notes that are around 200 BPM but any higher I have to start stepping a little wider for my taps to register.

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
i gave up on cobalt flux pads, and only play at the arcade ever since. I'm now building my own pad and if it takes off it will probably be for sale after this summer \o/

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Only played for an hour today... Feeling sick...
This was a pretty good score though. 98.67% The new theme wouldnt take screenshots for some reason Also this shows some skill I suppose. 230 is a bitch.

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Yeah for some reason on my CF I can minimize movement on slower BPMs but then when it gets above 200 BPM 8ths I have to step wider to register the taps. Also, My legs have been sore since the day I passed Wooly Mammoth Stomp so this time I have some whey protein to prevent that from happening again ugh

You made a chart for PE? oh lord...
Is that Necropotence Zarkonis' semi-old chart? |

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Yeah it has a 35 measure run of candles at the end, and Necropotence is my chart also. It has two 16 measure runs with 20th bursts in them (as opposed to 24ths). 2nd run is really candley/turny. Really fun.

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Nice scores everyone
I had Necropotence shortlisted for Veyron 2 and already had a chart ready to go, but I don't like the song very much haha I actually haven't played ITG in a while... but in the spirit of things I may as well post a score I don't think I put this one up on AIJ. Not Arvin's chart, I redid the big stream to make it Chino-friendly. SO candles and shiz. On the actual one I have like a mid 95, which really just works to make Matt's score more impressive But anyway, yeah, this place looks pretty chill, so will start lurking and posting words of encouragement and looking at sick index scores.. look forward to seeing me around more! |

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
After playing again today I now know I need to go the stamina route. I'm minimizing my foot movement now because the only way I was able to get the scores I posted earlier (like Maxx Unlimited, Paranoia Survivor, etc) was using my toes entirely and that's bad for stamina. I'm sticking to lower BPM files for now.
140 is basically the highest I can go with minimizing for decently long streams without dumping a million misses. It still isn't that good, but it's better than draining fast. Perfect example of the pad BS I get when I play on my CF Passed with xmod and mines this time (also better score!) -- this is one of the easiest 12s to pass. Crossovers in unbroken stream are pretty hard. Ending 12ths are also too fast for me right now 226 BPM 16ths are way too fast for me. This is like my score from March. Tried minimizing foot movement on this. I have to stop using my toes entirely for fast stuff. I could see myself AAing this soon. I can minimize my foot movement on this since it's around 135 BPM. |

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
First song of the day. Good thing I can pass this on demand now. Wasn't really that tiring. This is way too easy. Comparing to pendulum 15s, this felt like a 12 lol. I don't even remember what I played LOLZ. I overconserved. Terrible score sorry. 2nd pendulum. This was harder than I thought. Special shoutouts to Tyler, SM MaxX, and Fraxtil for these scores cuz they're awesome. P.S. I think my stamina is improving. Time to tackle footspeed again next time I go. Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Those misscounts -- the pad you play on must not work properly on a panel or something. Also being able to pass a pendulum song on demand is awesome

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
The downarrow sticks sometimes and it's really sunken in so it is a bit uncomfy while streaming but I'm used to it now. I would love to foam-mod the pads but arcade managers are dicks nowadays in toronto so it's hard. The things is I'm more concerned about changing the theme lol so I can have different speedmods. C573 is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too slow even on overhead.
Yeah pendulum 14s are easy for me now. 15s require some effort. It's great to see that I'm passing pendulums and they were my weaknesses haha. Last edited by MinTS2; 05-26-2013 at 07:13 PM.. |

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
I thought Fake Promise was gonna be a breeze and when I was halfway in the song, I realized CRAP this is not what I had in mind lol. I had to haul pretty hard near the end of the stream cuz I wanted to get above the magical number lol.
The Fountain I just took a derp and overconserved wayyyyyyyy too much. You can tell by the miss count. I breezed through the ending pretty well with really good FA though |

What are the main parts of it that make it difficult for you? Patterns, arms, breathing, legs, abs? i always got screwed by arms first, and then breathing |

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
I think it's mostly the patterns. I sometimes hit the brackets when I derp on occasional candles and it really screws me over with footwork. It's not an issue if it's a short run but if it's long, I get really bad blisters on my feet haha. I don't think I have any issues beside that and occasional footwork issues I have when I'm tired lol.
I'm trying to improve stamina with pendulum mostly to prepare myself for footspeed 16/17s I don't have footspeed problems but I don't want stamina to limit what I am capable of doing. Also, I need a better machine to play on lol. I told this before but it's really hard to pick a song when you only have 40 seconds and the left button doesn't work at all. Not to mention how hot the place is because it's right under the sun. Last edited by MinTS2; 05-26-2013 at 07:38 PM.. |

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
What's with 77.41% being the "magical number"? I get the number is from Zetorux's Extratone Pirates video but that's totally arbitrary. A pass is a pass.

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Phil wasn't happy with his score when he passed it and didn't even post it because it was so "bad", but Ian uploaded the video anyway. Matt, Arvin, a couple other people and I made fun of him for being all emo about it and it just turned into a community joke from there.

Re: ITG/DDR Scores
Pretty bleh day overall, couldn't finish most songs and got lightheaded.
I wasn't sure what DF song I wanted to rate mod so I asked Sam what his favorite DF song was regardless of chart and this happened. yeah well um |
