You really sound convinced that what everybody else does is right.

Now, I'm not saying it's morally wrong to eat meat. But just because everybody does it doesn't mean it's right.

And even with meat being a fine thing to eat, it's not all about the eating - animals need to be killed before they are eaten. And every animal that is killed for food is killed in a certain way. I don't agree with the practices. So I prefer to get meat from the amish and from places that I know are humane in their killing.

(Yes I was a vegetarian. No I'm not anymore. This is old news.)

Also, I don't think he should have gotten such a long sentence. Yeah, okay, he was bad to some animals, and that's bad. But the thing is, he seemed mostly remorseful. He seemed sorry much of the way through. To punish him just because he ****ed up a few times when he should have been telling the truth?

It's human nature to try to defend our actions. It takes a lot of courage to overcome that defending. He was just doing what's natural. It doesn't mean he's not remorseful.

And the drugs thing has to make me laugh. I'm sure pot doesn't have anything to do with killing animals. In fact, if he smoked a bit MORE pot, he might have refrained from animal torture in the first place. I can't imagine anyone killing and torturing a living being while high.

He killed six to eight dogs just because they were unfit for fights. How did he do it? Hanging, electrocution, and drowning.

There are regions in the south where dogfighting is considered acceptable, and he's from one of those areas.

He bankrolled the operation and participated in it for six years. I don't think you can be remorseful for that. If he was remorseful, he would be wailing and in tears. I saw no such psychological torment in his eyes. He looks like a joke.

"I'm sorry" doesn't cover mutilating a living being for its lack of skill in slaughtering its own kind.

I think animal cruelty is one of the things i hate most! I think that they should seriously sort out the law regarding animal cruelty.

How do I sound as if I think that what everyone else is doing right? I was merely stating that eating meat was a socially acceptable behavior. That particular statement held no opinion. I was just stating the obvious. You aren't going to get lynched for eating a hamburger in the mall. You will, however, have a large group of people wanting to hurt you for hurting and/or killing animals over a period of time.

And maybe you should do a little more research on the case. He tortures animals. He is a sick man. He could just as easily do this to another person. He already has it in him. If not jail, he needs a very extensive psychological evaluation.
