Mine's not too original. I was huge Megaman fanboy. And "Omega" sounded reallly cool.
Then one day I was siging up for something, and found out that "Omegaman" was taken. So I invented "Omeganitros". |

Well, this is somewhat complicated and lame, but I came up with it ten years ago, so what the hell.
Star Wars reference. Hans(olo)Sky(walker). I just liked the named Hans, and thought the Sky pretty much fit, so I kept it. I've been considering changing it, but I'm too lazy. But I much prefer my relatively new AIM SN that I never use: Psychoplasmatics.

My first venture into the internet tht required me to get a screen name was Napster (the old, awesome one), and on the front page (which I only glanced at, hence the '300111') was the Rap artist, Deltron3030, which I though was cool, so I used it, even though I'd just heard Deltron3030's music for the first time yesterday, and that must've been 5 years ago I made that screen name,.. basically all of my screen names have been built off of that, Deltro, DeltroX- the 'x' in DeltroX i'm fairly certain came from my days on SMR/IRC, I stolen N-ZeroX's screen name, an then found it didn't work on some servers, so I reverted to my old one, plus an X,...
I was an awesome 12 year old, because I was 12 and I'd used napster, IRC, and had a decent understanding of most /ctcp commands, so there. Pwnageby, Deltro. |

So...my name is Orli. And early in high school I was a prude who was afraid of boys, so all of my friends thought it would be hilarious to call me a whore, and fused it to my name: Thus Whorli was born. And we all like anime, so we'd add Japanese honorifics to our names in regular conversations, and I became WhorliChan.
Now it's my sn for virtually everything. And it's really hard to explain to my family.

Ohh boy.
Jazzmosis. My friend and I (we have very random conversations.. it's the kind of people we are.) were rambling about idiotic things like we normally do, and he was talking about osmositizing things with his hand. I had jazz music playing on my winamp at the time (yes, I do like some jazz music, but only the stuff you'd do fast dancing to.. "swing" jazz) so he and I got into this whole thing about absorbing people with goo (which, ironically, came from boredom while watching "The Kid" in theatres), which I changed into absorbing people and things with jazz music, if jazz music could form a physical thing and absorb people. We called it the process of being "jazzmosisitized" (the process of being absorbed by deadly, moving, liquid jazz.), and when I came here I needed a nickname and my usual one (Pi.. that's a whole other story) was too short for the character minimum so I took Jazzmosisitized, shortened it to "Jazzmosis", and signed up. I only use this nickname on FFR and anywhere that has a character minimum of 3 or more. The rest of the time I'm called Pi - even in real life. So there's a long story you probably wish you never read. But it's true.

I thought the word sounded cool. I now realize that it is pretty gay... I've gradually been fazing in a new screenname. Not sure when I'll switch to it here.

Though fazing sounds like it would be a really cool word if it were a word. ![]()

In middle school it was fun to act as weird as possible. When signing up for a Diablo II account I decided to pick Freak. Obviously, it was taken. I randomly chose the numbers 83 to go after it, they have absolutly no significance. It stuck. I sort of wish I had something more unique now, but "Freak83" doesn't even sound like a word with two numbers after it anymore. It just sounds like an original name.

I guess I can finally explain the real reference of my username, even though the concept of this thread is way old now.
Aside from the "Mre" part since we all know what that means by now. (Mr. E = Mystery. It was a clever little play on words that I invented when I was 9.) Squeek was a one-time use character from the Garfield comics. Garfield steps on a mouse and the mouse goes "Squeek". He apologizes to the mouse and names him "Squeek". Needless to say, I was 7 or 8 when I read it and astounded that Jim Davis decided to spell "Squeak" wrong. The "misspelling" stuck in my head for a long time and it really brought itself to light when I was in high school. When I was a Freshman, some (drug-addicted and high) Juniors said I looked a lot like a mouse, so they thought they'd call me "Squeek". Unfortunately for their attempted insult, I liked the name and stuck with it. I was a bit shocked during the T.V. series for Garfield and Friends when the mouse made an appearance and seeing that Mr. Davis renamed the mouse to "Squeak". Phooey. AIM HISTORY - My name before "Squeek" was GamePro + numbers. My old AIM account (which I made in 1996 or so) was GamePro2000x. Back when "2000" and "x" was the cool thing to do, you know? Before the millennium, I had JD010100 which nobody would get. I stole it from a t-shirt, actually. It meant "Judgement Day, January 1st, 2000". That name sucked so I finally got around to changing it to something ... funnier? I was on mIRC in '99 or '00 and was thinking of a funny way to change the last word in the phrase "Stop Drop and Roll". I had no creativity back then... Anyway, the reason for "Stop Drop And Di" was because AIM had a character limit of 13 back then and the extra "e" brought it to 14. Yes, I have registered "MysterySqueek" and "MreSqueek" but I never use them. So, back to Squeek... Somehow the username is extremely popular (I wish I knew what for) and so it's impossible for me to get it on any site I go to. I always end up having to use MreSqueek for everything and nobody ever understands the "Mre" because I can't punctuate it properly. ~Squeek PS - I will shower money onto the person that manages to find that Garfield comic. GOOD LUCK. |
