Sure, as long as it can easily fit a ton of webcam windows on the screen at once. The "we're all webcamming together" aspect of vidchat is what makes large vidchats so endearing.

And tinychat can't run more than 12 cams at once... so red5 might be better in that respect...

people don't always just talk over everyone nonstop... it's like a skype call... it works fine.

You don't have to have all of the videos open at once though, rushy -- I was just illustrating that it possesses the capability to do so. You can have as many or as few video streams as you like.

This system works well. Tinychat just isn't a good host though since lolframerate and crowding happens quickly

this and it comes down to people showing restraint to not drown out everybody else with random shit nobody cares about. if people talk just because they want to hear their own voice, it gets unwieldy pretty quickly.
