About 40 hours while cramming for a final exam. Took a litre of redbull (almost threw up. not recommended)
On an extremely busy week I went awake for like four days with a total of 5 hours of sleep. I almost killed myself.. Passed out for 18 hours straight right after I'm done. |

184 hours which is 7 days and 16 hours. I did it while in FFR MP when it was alive. Probably the most ignorant thing I did. Thinking if I showed my determination I would become an MP mod. Loss of motor skills made it impossible to go any further. Not to mention the crazy shit I was seeing.

39 hours. Had to stay up all night because of some school overnight program, it felt terrible going to sleep though, had to shake off all of the restlessness.

48 hours+ during my final year of high school. I was working on last minute assignments. After I finished those, I went to school and laughed at everything.

About 60 hours for basic training. I was woken up early for watch and was stuck up late the next day cause someone decided to play around on my bunk. Bad day was very bad.

About 45 hours or so. Basically, several hours shy of two days. Finishing up a paper I believe. I hated every minute of it.

About 2 weeks in Sherbrooke, and past the 4-5 days mark I wouldn't feel tired anymore, and Id be constantly nervous, was also balls hard to just simply say a straight sentence, and I was hallucinating stuff non stop. Its all blurry in my mind but thats what I remember. Also trying to get back to sleep was painful in a wierd way, I remember moaning while trying to fall asleep, And I feel like since then my memory capacity got permanently affected. Also got stuck with heavy sleeping issues since then, although right now its starting to be a lot more normal. Being awake for 2-3 days is still very frequent though because of nightime job + school.

I've stayed up over 24 hours before, but I don't think I actually am able to make it very far after that. I don't know if I ever approached the 48 hour mark or even the 36 mark.
I'm that guy if I don't get my sleep, I'm just going to feel so out of it until I do get some sleep. Not to mention it feels really weird for me when I go beyond the 24 hour mark. I would hate to imagine what it would feel like for 4+ days you people are claiming. Goodness. |

That's impossible. Your body will practically force you to sleep within 7 days. The world record for the longest time being awake is 11 days. I'm pretty sure you fell asleep sometime (probably several times) between that 2-week period without remembering it. If you tried to stay awake for 2 weeks straight, you'd be dead.

Also that record was set to show that sleep deprivation wasnt so lethal. And it's been broken a few times, they simply dont keep track of it anymore

I'm basically this guy too. My record is probably something like "pull all-nighter to do homework, eat lunch at normal time, take nap immediately afterwards".

Habits are pretty hard to break, so take it one step at a time. I know that after a certain period of the early morning when pulling an all-nighter, you don't begin to feel tired anymore. But for me, later in the day, I would just pass out. I wouldn't even feel tired. I would just pass out altogether. You trick yourself in believing that you feel great, but then you zonk out later without much warning. |

Your body starts to force sleep into you after a certain period of time. Chances are when I stayed up for 7 days 16 hours I probably had a few instances where I didn't reply to someone very quickly. I've done my fair share of 4-5 days without sleep and several occurrences of sleep I didn't know I had.
