I think some people are cheating with the way certain numbers have suddenly increased rapidly. I mean who would vote that much for a hamster?

How could the votes go skyrocketing for only like 3 pictures while everything else stays completely down? That makes no sense.
And Snapps, to be fair, mine took me 2 days to build. Building=construct out of peices. Printing, scanning, trips to houses, or whatever isn't included. The thing that is included is when you were putting peices together. ~Squeek (#4) |

I'm wondering about the edit myself. 3 of them took off overnight and the rest stayed constant or close enough to it. Yesterday at this time it was like 13-13 between us and now I've gone up 3 while you've gone up 22 along with several others. Something is definitely not right.
Whatever about the building time. It didn't seem to me that trips to a friend's house and finding the time to get to the living room could add to the time it takes to build something. ~Squeek |

Ok, lets just drop the building problem.
Now seriously, I have NO IDEA how we got to 32 votes, the last time i check we had something around 20, and that was last night. Maybe it has something to do with the front page post. Because people always see it when they come into the site. I really dont know, but I want to figure this out. Again, this is Snapps on blades computer.

But all for just three people? It's probably coincidence but you gotta admit to those that got screwed on the deal it is suspicious. Not that I suspect you of bribing people or making accounts to gain votes over a simple contest like this.
I seriously don't...I hope I'm not coming off as too indignant about this. ~Squeek |

Heh, you guys are all missing out on a lot of cookies...
About the extra votes: I don't think the news post would boost 3 options so much. They all would have increased at about the same comparative rate they've been growing at, only faster. I apologize if that previous sentence doesn't amke much sentence, but I don't know how to word it any better.

Afro, you're basically restating what I said earlier in your own words...meaning I do understand what you're trying to say. But what can we do about it? Not like we can bring forth proof of any kind. It's just suspicious activity to have only three pictures be massively gaining votes while the rest are left in the dust. Especially since before the news post I held #1 for a while and now I'm 26 votes behind the leader in 4th place. Your picture was rivalling for 3rd close behind me and now you're still close behind me but 30 votes away from the leader.

Holy crap, how the fuck did i get to 46 votes!?!?
I seriously also smell cheating. But then again, it could be just the front page thing. I really have no idea. EDIT: Or just start over and the poll is there, without the votes. And the votes have to be PMed to an admin to count. Safer and no cheating involved. |

I think that's logically the best way to handle it so long as the admins check IPs for any discrepancies. All it would require is a slight revision to the main page news, everybody who voted to vote again, and someone to contact the admins to request all of this. I would agree to that for a fair match.
~Squeek PS - Snapps you're almost at 50 now. |

So, who's going to contact an admin?
Also, I must add a "wtf" to the fact that snapps is currently at 48. I'm not saying his picture doesn't deserve a lot of votes. What I'm saying is that in a competition such as this, there shouldn't be such a gap between first and last place.
