Re: Skill + right Keyboard = epic win.
welp, it's wednesday!
looking foreward to wc's opinion on the whole Kensington 64365 vs. 72357 debate. (upload a preview vid on youtube?) I'll be ordering one of them soon. With the new model, all I care about is that it produces the same orgasmic sounds that have teased me for so long in owa's vids, and that it has the same feel as the previous model. Re: Skill + right Keyboard = epic win.
why would i upload a preview video its a keyboard there isnt anything to preview lmao
ON TO HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS KEYBOARD i like it. it took a bit of getting used to(im still getting use to it) but i really like the way this keyboard plays out. it has more feedback than my laptop keyboard which is awesome and im already a bit faster than i was with my k120. its a bit early to say whether or not this will impact my scores much but i think it will

and also the fact that there were no vids on youtube demonstrating this particular KB. The KB I have right now gives a hollow, dull sound that's more difficult to sense the definite sense of rhythm on. Since you already *have* the keyboard, I just wanted to make sure I know what I am getting before I rush off and order it. TL;DR - does the *new* kensington 72357 sound like this or not? thanks, wc~ |

Re: Skill + right Keyboard = epic win.
that sounds like a bulky keyboard lol
you can make it sound like that if you hit the keys hard enough but i dont so its a lot quieter. but i dont use sound to distinguish rhythms i use touch so this isnt much of a concern for me.

Theres also a huge difference between a flat kb and a bulky mech KB lmao, if you're used to playing on a bulky KB the mech KB will feel like heaven. I'm very comfortable with a flat KB but I can't do shit on a mech KB in comparison. That or, I'm just picky with my KBs Anyway mech KBs are also great for general typing, but honestly in some aspects I believe they are overrated (I personally have one). I have a Logitech Ultra X Premium too and its great as a flat KB both aesthetically and tactility wise, I don't see how a Lycosa or Illuminated would be any better than that To conclude, I strongly believe its about playstyles. Re: Skill + right Keyboard = epic win.
Microsoft Wired 600 or something is pretty good. Mine still works and the keys aren't at all hard to press. Probably not as good as those ultraslim keyboards like the Lycosa, etc lol. But this one has like 2.5mm keys or something, jsyk. It cost me about $15 CAN and that was WITH the mouse. So if you're looking for a really cheap keyboard get that one if you can find it. (For future keyboards anyway, since this looks to be cleaned up..)
Though, not exactly sure if they make them anymore, since I got this one last year at Walmart. lmao |

Re: Skill + right Keyboard = epic win.
ofc it shouldnt be too expensive since you really rape your keyboard with games like FFR / SM etc.
i just ordered the ultraslim board , the same like who_cares is using

Meh, I have the Lycosa, it's a good keyboard but I'm still a huge fan of Slim Keyboard, love laptop keys a lot.

Re: Skill + right Keyboard = epic win.
Prawn, the keyboard I used in that vid isn't the Kensington, it's my old Centrios (rip)
afaik, they no longer manufacture the model I had |

I just started, but i am using a Ducky 9008 (cherry blues) and it is great!
I find it to be so much better than most non-mechanical. Pics here http://subconsciousboredom.blogspot....ucky-9008.html |

Re: Skill + right Keyboard = epic win.
well just ordered the k120 as well, since many persons are betting that this one is pretty epic.
With the kensington slim im pretty happy, yet it doesnt feel that comfortable at all, i dont know why. Anyways its still better than my old one.

Re: Skill + right Keyboard = epic win.
Well I got the new Kensington slimtype today. Oh god, it feels just like a high quality laptop keyboard and is very responsive. I'm already getting a noticeable speed boost. Totally recommended. Best investment for $25
