If I can sightread AAA it then it can't be an FMO.

Re: New Songs: May 18th, 2011
my skewed ratings may have a lot to do with me adjusting to my new speed mod, which is a large jump, from 1.6 to 1.75, it's making songs seem way harder so that could be it, I'm probably way off because of that speed jump, so it's probably mid VC then
and I didn't say it should be FMO, I said it should be a 75, but people might argue for higher later, cause' Variations got pushed and Puzzle was left as an 11, but as I said, my speed change could easily be making things seem harder since my reaction time is worse now

Is it just me or does it seem like new songs are getting harder and are filled with minijacks and triples

Actually I have to agree with Soco. A good bit of the songs that have been released over the past few weeks have been a lot of mini jack or other hard things. But if someone's good at them then I guess it doesn't phase that person lol.

Re: New Songs: May 18th, 2011
Oops, I forgot to mention my reactions to the new files :3
AcidAce-Alliance: Catchy song. Not too fond of the patterns myself yet stepped accurately and is arguably fun imo. Automata: My favorite file of this batch. I LOVE the 4th speedups! Very well stepped and very catchy song! Well done Phoenix! I want to see more of your files on FFR :] Experiment: A nice simple file, yet tricky enough to throw off your rhythm. Had me focused throughout the song. Good job! Sexplosion: Reminded me of Beadmeugen on that one part which makes it a very tricky 9. I like the file a lot and the song is also catchy and fun! :] Overall, tricky but fun files in this batch :] Can't wait for next week's! x] |

Re: New Songs: May 18th, 2011
Geesh, rushy! If you were wondering so much about how it passed, you should've just visited the batch review thread instead of asking.
I'm no judge and I didn't want to piss you off with the 4th's. If I did, I'm sorry. I simply thought it was a new idea to try out and I believe the judges did too, since they gave it a 21/20 grade................... yeah. They liked it. A new idea isn't necessarily good, I agree, but don't be a hater about it, please. Last edited by MarioNintendo; 05-19-2011 at 08:40 PM.. |

Re: New Songs: May 18th, 2011
AcidAce-Alliance: Really fun, but in parts I would consider it an FMO.
Automata: I don't have enough credits so I can't play that song yet. Experiment: This file was really fun, especially for a 6. Sexplosion: Loved this one and this song was fun to listen to as well.

That's what I do and results in getting really unorthodox ratings (like 5+/1/2/2 and 5/5/1/5 lmfaoooo)
