![]() I learned how to solve a rubik's cube using a set of algorithms and could do it in about a minute and a half, but I'm not serious about it. It's just something neat to be able to do.

![]() Messing with one right now.
Definitely not a speed-solver. I'm still learning some algorithms. I can solve the first two layers from memory, but still need to memorize how to get the cross at the top and the corners in the correct place. From there I know how to flip them around. |

![]() yep, I'm learning 3-cycle orientation permutation. Still getting the whole idea on how to get to solve it.
Have you tried the 'Square-1'?

![]() I just memorized how to solve it the most common way. Assuming the most common way is what JKPolk advised me about. Finally, I can be handed an unsolved cube and hand it back solved in under 3 minutes.

Using that logic, the last move of any algorithm is implied. And using that logic again, so is the second to last move, and the third to last, etc.
A full algorithm is a full algorithm, no last move is implied bullcrap.

![]() I solve it on occasion.
Blindfolded solving is boring.

Yeah, "resolve the face you broke to start the algorithm" is totally a leap of faith. In the future I'll make sure to babyproof all of my answers for you.

![]() I never bothered learning a quick way of solving a rubik's cube, but I like them.
I have a 7x7 v-cube actually, that thing is a lot of fun to mess with. btw, odd numbered cubes are a lot easier to solve than even numbered. |

![]() This thread (and Rushy's thread) inspired me to solve my first cube today =)
This is really cool I feel like I'm really gonna get into this haha.

![]() Because they're kinda lame. They take like 2 seconds to solve... not as interesting.
