![]() that's not what I'm saying. If and when revelations starts coming true exactly as predicted, are still going to tell yourself there is no god? You'd have to be in a low state of mind to be oblivious to the evidence when it's happening all around you.

![]() A lot of the people who've posted in this thread claiming that religion is silly and obviously false, are living proof that revelations is starting to come true.
Becuase in the end times there will be an incline of athiests and non believers like there never was before, who all claim it's insane to believe in god, there will be a rise in false prophets, ( the crazy guy who thought 21'st was the end for example) all of these negative mindsets towards religion are a solid example that this indeed, is like no time period before it. and if you don't see that then well your pretty damn ignorant. @ If the rapture doesn't happen in our lifetimes that doesn't mean the bible is false, but that it is not yet time. @ reincarnate: that guy that claimed the 21'st was the end is what is described as a false prophet. He convinced millions of really gullible people into believing what HE thinks is going to be the end. when in fact no man knows the day or the hour. So he pretty much went against what he claims to believe in.

![]() Mans0n, I'm not sure if you're trolling or just misguided, because people claiming religion is silly isn't "proof of revelations."
If the rapture doesn't ever occur in our lifetimes, you're right that it doesn't mean it can't ever happen. But don't you see that such a belief isn't falsifiable? There's no way for it to be proven wrong because you can always say "It COULD still happen in the future." And yet time and time again, over the billions of years our universe has existed, we have not seen a shred of evidence that anything interacts in our universe outside of how the natural laws govern matter. You can always say "It's not yet time" no matter how many days go by without rapture. Why believe such a thing to be true until you receive more compelling evidence? |

For all you know, in the year 3000, the rapture could never have happen and religion dies out completely, where Christianity is taught only in mythology and lore classes at universities along with Norse and Greek mythos... Quote:
This is simply a convenient philosophical structure you've come up with to prevent you from ever being proven false.

![]() It's not a matter of evidence, nobody believes in religion because of the ''evidence'' of its validity. It's a matter of faith.
There have been countless things that are unexplainable with science that have happened to religious people throughout the centuries. Miracles being one example. there are things that happen that cannot be explained away with science. PS: anything that keeps people away from the truth and casts doubt into the mind of people is loved and influenced By the Devil himself. Reach you have no evidence that rapture isn't going to happen. So lets just stop and call it a stalemate. You obviously think you know everything about everything lol. so there's no point, we will be doing this all day. You don't believe, I do. End of story. In the end we will see who's right. Ohh and Reach I understand the words you type, but choose not to believe them, which is the same thing your doing to me. We both have 2 very different beliefs. And neither is going to convince the other of who's right.

Besides, even if there's something science can't yet explain (dark matter/dark energy are two huge examples right now), you don't get anywhere closer to the truth by just making something up. That's just argument from ignorance. I'm pretty sure you're just trolling at this point but the sad thing is that Poe's Law makes it damn near impossible to tell the trolls apart from the religious nuts because they're the same on the surface. Acting like a logic-defying retard and actually being one doesn't come across any differently. |

Reincarnate, don't ruin it for the rest of us atheists. Your lack of compassion, empathy and outright disregard for respect is disgusting, and you appear much less humane than most Christians I have met in my lifetime. Shame on you for perpetuating the stereotype. You are the equivalent of an evangelist. |
