11. very rare that it happens. researchers now found that sleep is now a necessity, not a luxury. it really screws up your productivity and thinking. actually we should all know that from experience already. also...sleeping too much is bad.

Yes, after a long portion of time without sleep you tend to stop functioning as well. Which is why I try not to Stay up for countless hours anymore.

One of my friend's dad is nocturnal. He sleeps during the day, and hunts for mice during the night, like a freakin' owl. Orly? Ya rly.

Hmmm... With anesthesia? Like, 72 hours. On my own? 23 hours. I usually go to bed when I get home from school. Which is 3-ish. Then wake up at about 10 or 11. Stay awake. Go to bed when I get home again.

12 hours. I don't like to sleep at night, but I find myself sleeping in school, but only for 5 minutes until my friend wakes me up. When I get home though, I can't sleep until 12 midnight or 1 AM, but I go to sleep because I either have school the next, or my parents can't stop bugging me to sleep.

100% true for me as well. No matter what I've done beforehand, around 11 or 12 is my limit. If I try on purpose to sleep more, I end up even more tired than I would be if I hadn't slept that long. I'm refreshed usually after about 7-8 hours, and then I can do anything and everything.

8 hours is the most I ever slept..although I think tonight I will get a long sleep because I stayed up 2 nights in a row because of a Rock Band party. 48 hours of Rock Band. ^^
