A quick note on Moonlight Sonata: it is NOT easy to master. Sure, you guys can say it's easy peasy to play, but it takes waay more than good arpeggiating skills to master the song, especially in terms of bringing out the several simultaneous melodies through dynamics. I assure you that this takes more time than you think. I also heard in the past that Rev. Etude is easy to play (hello nima), and that is grossly incorrect. Even performers were scared to play that song on concerts, for fear of the critics. I think once you DO learn the song to the best of your abilities, you feel more righteous to say that it's easy to play, but that's easy to say. |

to everyone referring to the comment I made
it was a minor error on my part, I meant to say "and I'm pretty sure you can't play this," not "so I'm pretty sure blah blah blah" realize who I was talking to @ Ice wolf: sibelius

Finale >>>>> sibelius, nublet
p.s. the slow part is tons of fun to play hehe. I'm so bad at piano but I've been able to pick it up, it's very beautiful

For the record, I'm a piano god -- probably not as good as Sprite, but it's pointless to insinuate I don't know what I'm talking about

That's pretty cool Rubix. You should be a music producer.

Re: Piano Etude (Demon Fire) PDF <DOWNLOAD LINK IN FIRST POST>
I have found an error:
The second chord of the right hand in measure 22 should not be tied to the next chord. It is not a big deal, but I thought I would mention it. By the way, am I the only person seriously trying to learn this? I am learning it incredibly slow, though. (I practice it about once a week.)

Thank you for this music! I have wanted to learn it ever since I heard it for the first time. The only thing that seems hard about this piece is the 9ths and 10ths. My hands just aren't that big! How will I ever play it up to tempo?

I'm pretty sure an accomplished musician like stargroup would be using the full version of Finale, whether a crack or a box.

Re: Piano Etude (Demon Fire) PDF <DOWNLOAD LINK IN FIRST POST>
So I went absolutely bat**** crazy this weekend and MIDI'ed the first big part of it (up to the andante). If anyone's interested, I can upload my MIDI and you guys can mess around with it.
Some comments on stargroup's score: A couple of the half-notes bleed into the next note in the measure, and MIDI can't handle this. I've taken the liberty of shortening the offending notes in the half-note chords to comply. |

Re: Piano Etude (Demon Fire) PDF <DOWNLOAD LINK IN FIRST POST>
Thank u very much for the sheet, I've been searching it for a long time. I will try to play it. I've seen what people commented and I gotta say that I play Moonlight Sonata Mvt 3, and Revolutionary Etude and it's not easy, and I've been playing piano for 11 years and it took me like 6 months to learn those songs. ... but I play 1 hour per week so maybe that's why it's so difficult and takes so much time for me to learn a new song. ... I can play both songs at full speed right now, but I don't know if I will be able to handle this one. It looks really hard.
And for a professional pianist this is completly possible. If you don't believe me search in youtube Baremboim, Lang Lang, Richter, Martha Argerich, pianoloverok, etc. ..... |

It's possible, not entirely plausible, but indeed possible, I might try and fail
