bob bob, i have reason to believe most of those scores are fake. the character makes a different facial expression for each one (even an angry face in one) yet you still get an AAA

You've been around for this long and you don't know how the facial expressions work?

The character's expressions have to do ONLY with the number of credits you get from the song. This is really a weird way of doing it, but it's just a holdover from some of the older versions of FFR where it was much harder to combo stuff. If you play a short enough song, it's impossible to get the character to look happy, because there just aren't enough possible points. Go AAA Excite Bike again and you'll see what I mean.

No it has to do with the credits. When you play Excite Bike you get 0 credits, and the character is angry as hell. Get 40, you have a pleased person.
