Re: World of Warcraft
That still seems sorta silly.
I mean, whatever, I don't have t7.5 yet, of course, but it's one thing to have a tanking set and a dps set, but a whole nother story when you're a hunter, because you don't really have to swap out a lot of gems for surv/bm/marks to succeed. Even though survival IS 500+ dps more than marks, which is a pretty big margin. Especially once you get those tight steady shot rotations. I wish I had my t7.5 ;-; |

The only thing that can cause any problems is the arcing DoT, but you actually have to be quite close for it to jump, so whoever it hits moves a little ways back out from Loken, they take slightly more damage from the aura, but the DoT won't jump to anybody. The nova only does about 14k on heroic before any resistances, so any reasonably well-geared tank is going to be more than capable of just eating it (I party buff up to about 32,000, I raid buff up to about 35,000) and if you have someone like me (Pally tank) My response to nova is "cast a holy light, resume tanking" and it's barely even a problem, and the healer can concentrate on keeping the rest of the group up from the aura damage. If your plan is to switch to survival, switch to survival. You won't need to worry about anything like the dual-spec stuff until 3.1.0 and who knows how long that will actually end up being. For that matter, I'd assume most hunters will make a pvp-dualspec rather than a second pve build, but then, my server has a very high huntard to hunter ratio, so my guild has actually no hunters at all in the top end, so what do I know? Re: World of Warcraft
Yeah, just with Fort on, I have 31k health, so I usually don't even notice the damage before it's been healed up.
That's where chain heal really comes in handy. EDIT: Holy crap. Quote:

Re: World of Warcraft
On my battlegroup, alliance sucks at PvP... But at times we manage to do this:
We won this in about 3 minutes, I was top on damage, honor, killing blows and honor kills and least amount of deaths

Re: World of Warcraft
So after looking at the boss list...
Why are we fighting good guys? Thorim is a good guy. You help him by killing Loken. Freya is a good girl. You help her push back the scourge. Hodir is a good guy. You help his sons. |

Re: World of Warcraft
You guys should put spoiler tags on those. It's the one type of patch notes I don't read, anything with lore in it. Hopefully there's going to be some kind of decent answer. As far as I know, there's no extremely awesome book to utterly confuse you.

Re: World of Warcraft
Blizzard loves apostrophes. It's pretty sad, actually.
I understand that they use it for all troll-related things, but it really shouldn't be anywhere else. It's just annoying. |

Re: World of Warcraft
Um...what the hell do apostrophes have to do with that? Nyarlennytep doesn't even have an apostrophe. Also, C'thun and Yogg'Saron have nothing to do with trolls either. Was that just an entirely seperate criticism of blizzard?

Re: World of Warcraft
There are countless random npc's that have apostrophes in their name.

How is it annoying? It's an apostrophe.
I just got the "Veteran of the Wrathgate" achievement. Fun quest line. Although I cried a little bit when the pants I got from the king turned out to be worse than the green pair I already had =( |

I guess you have no sympathy for Fordragon.

Re: World of Warcraft
Because it looks like a crutch they rely on to make unique names without utilizing some sort of continuity.
Trolls have apostrophes, and I get that. I don't know why anyone else does, other than that Blizzard loves apostrophes. |

Re: World of Warcraft
Holy **** Blade of Misfortune just dropped on my DK. Was killing Naga in Zangermarsh for a quest and one of the sorcerers was feeling charitable. I'm happy =)
