They're talking about having 9 canadian teams by 2015.
obvious choices:
-Quebec city
-Hamilton
-Some other southern ontario city
I heard a rumour a couple years back that they could go for Halifax and have an Atlantic team.
@ Suicidal,
I'd agree with you, but sometimes watching other teams makes you appreciate your team more. Especially when you're watching two really bad ones. Or watching two really good teams go at it *cough**cough*VancouverandBoston*cough**hack* makes you appreciate the skill level of said teams and it's always cool to watch competitive hockey.
Tl;dr, less fan of a team, more fan of the game in general.
dun worry, ill prob catch a game when I take a break from checking for job openings and such or eating. I didnt watch many hawks games anyway so im still not a sports fan but i watch

it won't be halifax. too little population and not enough reach to other cities. if they DID put an atlantic team, it would be in Moncton (the cfl has been considering moncton as an option as well but it's pretty far out). It reaches any major city in the maritimes within 3 hours, and 1.7 million potential spectators.
but that's pretty far fetched anyway. There's more people in toronto than both new-brunswick and nova scotia combined.
oh and congrats to the saint john sea dogs for winning the memorial cup, being the first atlantic canadian team to do so! Moncton wildcats fell short twice in their runs to the cup, losing in the finals to quebec the first time and being eliminated so very closely by windsor the second time. Sea dogs beat Mississauga 3-1 in the finals sunday.
Also apparantly, Winnipeg stays in the Southeast?! WTF
Just for the one year. They'll do a division re-vamp come 2012-13.
Also, RE-CAP.
A first period filled with shots, penalties, and outstanding goaltending.
A second period with some more penalties, and a much more physical edge. Plus a Dan Hamhuis hipcheck that may have tweaked his knee..
A third period dominated, once again, by Vancouver, and with 19.2 seconds remaining, Raffi Torres does what he has done on each of his other 2 goals this post-season: Go to the net, tap the puck, get it an inch past the goalie's pad/glove/blocker/stick (take your pick). 1-0 Vancouver.
And for the 3rd time these playoffs, Roberto Luongo picks up a shutout in the first game and Vancouver wins their 8th straight Game 1.
Burrows took "hungry for the win" to another level. Suspension?
IF I CAN CLIMB A TREE, I CAN CLIMB MT EVEREST. IF I CAN DRIVE A CAR, I CAN PILOT A SPACE SHUTTLE. IF I CAN PEE, I CAN BE THE PRESIDENT. IF I CAN POO, I CAN RULE THE WORLD!
Burrows took "hungry for the win" to another level. Suspension?
Lmao, no. Although that was some unexpected animosity from Bergeron and Burrows. For teams that face each other once a year, they're playing like they're big rivals. Entertaining hockey for sure.
