And I demand you to add me (oIAAWo) if you use Broa!
EFFIN REACHED LVL 25! I rewarded myself with buying all of the lvl 25 armor + lvl 25 two-handed sword. I also got a Raggedy Old Cape (yay me). The only dissappointment now is that I am officially broke. But I'm not worrying. I'm just gonna train on the Axe Stumps again, as they drop Wizard Wands (they sell for 100k), Battle Shields (I sell at store for 85k), and Blue Avengers (also sell at store for 80k). And all three of those items are rare drops, so I got some work to do... Last edited by IAAW; 03-12-2006 at 07:39 PM.. |

If the axe stumps didn't drop them while you were training on them, what makes you think they'll drop them now? You're in for a bunch of inefficient XP, man.

First of all, booster is +1 for the first 10 then +2 for the next 10. I'm pretty sure some people just leave it at 11 for their entire career. *shrug* I'll leave some comments in bolded brackets.

But yeah, main thing = Ice Strike first seems like a better idea.

T-Spear is really slow and it takes a while to kill even the level 93 viking. Although this was a level 78 or 79 mage I saw (day Ludi was released).
So uhh... I'd probably go with maxing ice strike first and doing Bains for a while... Then, I'm not sure... Noah: I think once you get 15+ in explosion, you'll move from YnP to Dual Ghost Pirates. They are amazing experience for a DK friend, and they are fire weak. I can show you where they are. |

Bandit, when you've seen a level 128 Ice-Lightning Mage do 18,000 damage with Thunder Spear every second, you no longer think it sucks.

My build will be quite similar to Tokzic's, but Ice Strike first, (and even a point in it before I get booster) a point in resistance earlier probably, and I'll get seal instead of maxing booster and putting so many points into resistance.

Just decided what my fire mage build is gonna be.
It's so easy. Oh man. Everything maxed except slow. I won't be getting slow at all. Then I'll be using my 1 extra point to finish of MA. PS yes, including poison. Max poison should be loads of fun, and it's not like slow is that great anyway.

My workglove is coming along nicely. Ludi PQ is kind of annoying, maybe it's just because I'm still low level and people are really prejudice towards low levels there..

Interesting glove. XP
Squeek: Hot. Never said it sucked, just, on a lower level mage, it's not that great compared to ice strike's abilities. Anyways.. since Pat was in Ludi and soloed 5 gatekeepers, I decided to goof around... Met up with Natural (DK friend since 40s) and we went to grim watches... Ouch.. heh... I didn't die, but they were tough... I tried clocks, since he was training there because he had no priest to train with, and he didn't feel like losing a bunch of money on dual ghost pirates. So, I timed it... wow... slooow exp. I did a the dollhouse and the following quests afterwards, which nabbed me a 60% claw scroll. Then I hung out in that first area in the slide. Some 29 warrior asked to party so I'm like alright. Hasted him... Goofed around a bit there. Few minutes later, someone who had just shown up, defamed me and took off. Some level 15 mage was walking around there picking up stuff we didn't get, and dying here and there. I dropped him a wisdom ore i found, a bunch of the monster drops, and 5k. I gave my new warrior buddy 15k, 46 white pots, and 100 blue pills (from dollhouse). I asked that level 15 mage if he was having fun. He said no, not really, that he's stuck there. So I gave him 30k and said to get back to Victoria. He's like "wow really? you don't have to" while in the trade window, with me already hitting trade on the cash. XD What a good noob. Bunch of others were all wow cool. And I was all WOW I HIT 3800! Sweet! So others joined the party and they all loved haste and were having a blast, which was cool. The warrior guy famed me. Some random guy who apparently hates hermits defamed me and left (after he said all hermits should f'ing die.. lol). Another guy had famed me again. Then finally I left. I was there for an hour. XD Was fun. They all loved it. Oh and that warrior is now on my buddy list. He seemed cool. Didn't talk much of anything, except (f2) sometimes, since he had a helmet on. XD |

Unless you have some significance training at a certain monster, there is no point in hunting a monster for its drops. You'll just waste your time and it'd be considered extremely lucky to find the item, even if you hunt all day. Most of the items you want are going to be rare.

whoa wait, wtf, since when are there 100% glove attack scrolls?! Also, I know they are way more expensive, but seriously, dex doesn't help you that much... *shrug* Your glove, though, I guess. XD
And uh, Tosh is right. It's better to just hunt what you would normally hunt. You'll get drops from what that is, too, which you can sell and use that money to pay for whatever you wanted from the other thing. Especially if what you're hunting things for is something that you have a hard time with, it's better to not waste your time and money fighting it when you can just keep leveling up and getting money the slower but steadier way. Plus, it's not a big deal if you skip some equipment, like how I'm never gonna get an EW. =(

100% glove attack scrolls are (only?) obtainable from the Ludi PQ and will probably have quite high prices unless you find some idiot who thinks its 35k because its 100%.
