EB, I heard A LOT of firemages talking about completely ignoring comp. They are talking about maxing everything but it, since explosion and myst are the exact same thing if used alternately. Plus, compo is a slow, one hit attack. I'm thinking of doing this.

I completed Ms. Ming Ming's Second Worry yesterday, got a Ribboned Pig Headband (No Pic Sry). I'm also working on Dr. Betty's Research on Fossils (dont really remember the quest name). I basically gotta bring this letter to Winston, along with 50 Firewood, 1 Stump's Tear, 100 Leaf, and Weighted Earrings. Only thing left I gotta collect is the 100 Leaf and the Weighted Earrings. I'd better get something really good for this quest, I've been working my butt off on it.

Haha. Those quests you just mentioned are really easy. I did them both yesterday on my pure int mage. The pig head band isn't a big deal. Everyone has one. And the fossil report quest gives you a nice pair of level 25 earrings that are +MP.

Yeah, it is kinda easy. And I hope to be lvl 25 once I finish the quest, as i'm lvl 24 right now...

Well, compo is really important, I think. The damage boost is most noticeable on neutral enemies, so its high damage is needed when fighting Zakum and such. Also, compo isn't slow, I dunno where you heard that. From what I've seen, it's about the same speed as FA. Even if it was a tiny bit slower, it would still do more damage over time, no matter what.

Also, I think mist is a bit silly. I mean, poison really helps with big monsters, and usually you don't find big monsters in large packs that can be misted. I'd rather just fire away with compo and poison them that way. Also, mist is kinda useless for regular everyday training, since you usually train on stuff you kill in 2-3 hits anyway. To me, it seems pretty silly to poison a bunch of monsters and wait for them to die, unless they're something huge.

I'll most likely max comp after explosion (so both will be maxed when I'm 95) and then work on amp, then seal I guess? I dunno, that's a long freaking way away... x__x

Not when you can train effectively in Ludi (somewhere in the 80s for most people, DKs even earlier). Some give over 10x that of grupins. If you're exploding even 2 of those monsters at once, you'll get way more experience.

Ugh, I want that so bad. 14 dex is all my sauna robe is, and it's all I need... now this has 6 luk on top if it? Dang... ugh... Out of my range currently. :/

But casting mist and running circles around the map while waiting for things to die would take a lot of time and, in my mind, wouldn't be worth it. And the things I may be fighting in my 80s have 30k-35k HP, which would be like 5-6 hits at that level. Regardless of what I use, it'd be faster to 5hk them right then instead of poisoning them and running off. Poison will mostly be for neutral monsters that I fight to hunt items (thanatos and Gate Keeper are both poisonable AND sealable ;D ).

Besides, I'll prolly be fighting YnP in my 80s anyway, and it'd be really silly to poison them when I could just explode the crap out of them. >=D Oh I will have fun with explosion, hehehe.

I thought you were higher level eb... I'm catching up. I'm disappointed with my asianic because it is only +4, 83 att. Do you think I should scroll another one and if it worth it? Lately, I've been having fun with yetis and such since I kill a lot faster. Thanks guys...

PS: Asianics are around 4 mil now and the scrolls are around 300-500k. I have 5 mil...

I have had it downloaded for days. When I registered on Maple Global, it said it wasn't registered. So I went to Maple Sea and I have a Pin and everything, but when i try to register an account, it always says it can't because its in Mantain mode. Does everyones say that?Or do i need to download from somewhere not global sea?

I'm over halfway to lvl 25, which is good, because I truly want to wear those leaf earrings. Oh, and banditcom, i'll be more than happy to sell you my Ribboned Pig Headband (hope it's tradable! rofl). I just hope you use the Broa server

It's because Fire Mages slow down a ton in their 60s while everybody else seems to get godly and speed up on the way to the 3rd job. D:<

I am working, cuz I had an epiphany and saw how close I am to getting explosion, so I'm chugging along again at a steady pace, whereas before I would play once for a few hours then not play for a couple days. I need to at least catch up to Chris while he works on his pure int so he'll be convinced to rush to level 70.

Oh, and I think it's silly to delete your characters. Give all their stuff away sure, but keep them around just in case you wanna play them again and don't wanna have to work through 30 levels to get them where they were. It's a simple matter to just buy a cheap sword or something if you ever do wanna play again, but once deleted they're gone for good. =\

Good point EB... I'll keep the character there and let him rot for a few years... I got dced a lot today, and plus I had/have tons of hw to do, so no ms for now. So far, I've leveled decently fast because of the new asianic I've gotten... Still debating about scrolling a new one or just buying a good one. An 83 att asianic is kinda sad...

Well, as long as everyone's debating third job, I plotted out what I'm doing. I sort of surprised myself when I was looking at the levels, playing with ranges like L86-94 and realizing that it'll be my level, someday far from now.

Anyway. First, a question: Does Booster give +1 Casting Speed for 10 levels, then +2 Casting Speed for 10 levels? Or do you get +0.1 Speed every level?

If it's +1 for 10 and +2 for 10, this is my chart. Don't feel shy, if you feel you know what you're talking about, tell me what I'm doing wrong and what I should change.

3 Amp [To unlock Booster]
11 Booster [More attacks seems better first than stronger attacks]
30 Thunder Spear (maxed) [A strong single-target seems like a better start, and looks like it'll offer better training opportunites.]
30 Ice Strike (maxed) [Then my nice mass-attack.]
27 Amp (maxed) [Extra power for my main attacks goes here.]
30 Comp (maxed) [Out of what's left, seems like a good choice.]
1 Resistance [Getting 23 in one point? Hell yeah!]
9 Booster (maxed) [More booster time seems more important than elemental resistance.]
10 Resistance [Whoo, situational defence. Last for a reason.]

I'm skipping Seal because as long as I have Ice Strike, which freezes, Seal's a tad redundant. Thoughts and suggestions please.
