I'm def rusty asf myself. I've been playing BCMP songs on rates to help get my speed back up to par since I've always been shit with MA lawlawlawl Himoko on 1.2x rate is fucking hilarious btw.

So, I wanna get into stepmania, but I'm lost. I played some mobile app rhythm games, but I wasn't feeling FFR's 4 arrows coming back from a long time away from it, so solo seemed like my best bet. Where's a good place to start?

...Actually is there a guide?

download stepmania 5.0.12 and install that, then replace the .exe in the "Program" folder with xwidghet's .exe.

I feel like I finally broke a wall! Here are a variety of scores that I got tonight that are either first passes or besting my old scores. We'll start with the latter first:

Like Saber Wing, its a speed thing, since I can read it just fine... Not very clean, as I still mess up some of the chords in the middle, but it felt lots better Ruined. I think for this one its a matter of speed. I can read it just fine but it's still a bit of a struggle to get the streamy bits. Finally passed it! This one too! And now for a series of first passes.
