Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
this is exactly why I told you submit directly to the pack address. PM'ing us individually is useless because majority of us don't bother checking it.

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
Resent, renamed everything from folder name to .sm and .mp3. **** better work this time.
Edit: This is ****ed up, now it doesn't seem to attach. I'll upload the zip file to mediafire and then email that to the judges if that is fine Edit 2: Uploaded to mediafire. Sent. Should work now. Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 11-11-2009 at 03:25 PM.. |

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
OK the reason we didn't receive your file was because it was listed as spam, rofl. But OK now we have it.
(Who_cares973) Crunk De Gaulle Very cool file. Found it very enjoyable. Accepted (CBR) Don't Say Lazy - DJ Hirojack Mix - **** you for choosing this song even if it is a remix. Didn't like your overall freeze usage. File is pretty generic overall and isn't packworthy. I don't get why you stopped stepping as soon as the chorus kicked in either.Rejected (Rin-Dude) Chaosmaid Way better than Ninzaburo's dump. Reminds me a lot of Infinity, haha. Straightforward and fun. Accepted (Jimerax) Heroic Polonaise lol you stepped Chopin. Very colourful and accurate. Only complaint is that the trills are harder than the rest of the file and it lacks replay value TBH. Accepted (Sargon) Minus 3 Well structured however kinda generic overall. Rejected (SKG_Scintill) SA2B Green Forest This would've been a good vibrajacking file but this is not packworthy here. Pretty generic overall and drags on. Rejected (SKG_Scintill) Castle of the Guy Well structured and enjoyable to some extent. However gets repetitive and I didn't like those 32nds at all. Rejected (Synexi) The Dark Blowhole V2 Hmmm seems just about accurate. Only complaint is that the middle section gets all hold dumpy while the rest of the file is basically just stream. I personally find this generic but I might lightly accept. Maybe/Pending until I hear from other judges. (Icyworld) Ranger Elite Those rainbow rolls or whatever were god awful. Got too repetitive and I quit out. Rejected.

so if i take out the rolls and find something else to step during that part of the song, it would have a better chance at being in the pack?Honestly i thought they were kinda fun, but whatev

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
I quit out of the file. It dragged on and got very repetitive. Even if you do fix the rolls, I doubt I'd accept it. Find something less repetitive to step.

Re: Xoon 5: The Transition Submissions Open
xrosspost from Bluexoon
minus 3- really no life to the file. doesn't feel very expressive at all; almost like an FFR file. dumb mine usage. heroic mayonnaise- yesh chaosmaid- I guess you could cut back on the freezes on every single anime vocal but it's not a bad file otherwise. kind of reminds me of infinity haha. maybe castle of the guy- I was wondering why this song sounded so familiar then I remembered Monty on the Run rofl. not too bad technically but wow what are those 32nds that part is straight 8th. all of the minijacks get a bit grating after a while. not terrible but seriously this song doesn't have too much potential. hurry somebody up- I find this song itself has tons of potential but a lot of parts are done inaccurately. pretty good grasp of freeze usage there as I didn't find anything that was obnoxiously long so good job. I'd say go to Gundam or Kommisar for a list of technical errors. with fixes I'd accept this. green forest- some parts of this are very nice (liked that pattern for the drums at the beginning) but other parts are either offsync (not all of those are straight 24th/32nds and sometimes you even got the note interval wrong) and those 32nds imo should be moved to 24ths even though I didn't check which one it actually was, it feels closer to 24ths (or just straight 16ths maybe). patternwise I'm seeing a little improvement from you and your layering methods are getting better (none of that Keelhauled syndrome here) so keep it up. you have potential. dont say lazy- NOT STEPPING THE CHORUS IS LAZY. haha. serious review: technically not bad at all. 32nd rolls patterns at the beginning are a bit stupid to hit, vocal freezes can be cut out at some parts (just have them to longer notes because having to keep holds while hitting 16th stream is sort of weird-feeling) and put jumps to bass instead of melody at that part because those jacks don't flow too well. also triple jacks are kind of weird and break the flow of that part. geez I really don't like this song and I don't think this is packworthy but with a better song you might have a shot Last edited by moches; 11-11-2009 at 08:33 PM.. |
