Re: Music Works In Progress Thread
It's solidgood the only rebuke I have in mind is that the first 8 mesures are as pleasant to my ears as a car repeatedly honking in my street.
anyway I guess the soundwave you used wasn't meant to be polished at all and you just put it for the sake of expressing the chords you used anyway thats 10/10 to me I wish making progressions like that was as natural to me as what I do usually.

Re: Music Works In Progress Thread
I'm downloading a big, beautiful drum set for Kontakt right now. Hopefully, it will be a major improvement over my old soundfonts.
@Ohaider: I... Didn't like the chords too much. I'm not sure if it's the instrument, but they felt slightly cacophonic :/ (PLEASE DON'T KILL ME)

Re: Music Works In Progress Thread
No problemo mang most of them are add flat 9s/add 13s which can be a little uncomfortable to some not to mention the fact that they're distorted saws, can't wait to hear your kontakt shtuff though!

Re: Music Works In Progress Thread
@cedolad: Nice rhythm, but kinda repetitive. That sudden silence was also a little strange...

How does the overall mix sound so far? What really stands out that really shouldn't? I don't have quite a good ear for that yet.

Re: Music Works In Progress Thread
Woah, I thought that was really cool actually. In terms of a hip hop track I don't think its too repetitive at all. The only thing I could say is that sub bass is doing funky things to your drums and its a lot louder than everything else. If you sidechained it to the kick and snare, your drums would sound a lot more clear. I would like to hear this with the vocal track.

Re: Music Works In Progress Thread
Yeah I'm starting to hear it the more I listen.
I actually have a kick and snare that I use separately from the main drum loop, so I'ma tinker more with those as well as the sub bass issue.

Re: Music Works In Progress Thread
What do you guys think of this? I'm very happy with how it's turning out but I'm not sure what to add next.

Re: Music Works In Progress Thread
I feel like the sequencing on this is really, really well done, actually. There was never a moment where I felt like something lasted too long or was too short.
