in my opionion 90% of players cant do really hard jumps on index, so i recommend you play spread and increase your speed at least to 1.25x becuz im really good and i still to this day cant read notes on 1x speed lol

hey, thanks for the tips, when i tried the index setting thing, i was a whole lot better, and then i went up to 1,5 or 1,75 arrow speed, and that helped even more. now i can even beat some tricky songs!!!! thanks so much

Screen cut is worth mentioning because there're not many options for speedmods on FFR. There're only 1.0x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x, 2.0x and 3.0x, so screen cut is useful for small adjustment.

For example if you want a mod like 2.25x, 2.0x + screencut pretty much works.

start small work your way up you'll be nerfing 10-12 footers in no time my secret is i custom set up my keys d <-, f V, j^,k-> i even made them the home row keys same as typing:P some may vouch for cmods but if you can get used to the slower bpms with lots of notes itll help you read the heavy notes later on with high speed mods another thing set your L to left trust me you can then use both middle fingers to take down the nasty left down left down left down....another thing dont play on ffr to learn its totally misjudges the steps its way to easy try it on stepmania where it judges your taps for real.

Screencutting is when you reduce the "height" of the FFR game. You do this by resizing the window, making it "shorter." This forces your reaction to be quicker to hit the arrows.

a screencut does sound like it could be rather useful

You can screencut with scrolling down arrows, just open up task manager and set it to "always on top". Put it over the game and then just give the flash focus.

PLAY HARDER SONGS

Don't seclude yourself to just one type of difficulty. Play harder songs. Doing so will increase your speed, as well as your accuracy. You will soon be able to read songs you couldnt before, as well as dramatically improve your scores on others.
