The reason why you're not good at all.
You think you won't get better, you have very low self esteem. That's not good. Everyone started out bad, and if you don't keep practicing consistently, you will NOT improve. 9000 games in 3 years, that's 3000 per year. That's around 8 per day, and I highly doubt you played consistently. You probably a LOT for some time, and quit for some time in those 3 years, and a lot of them being Excite Bike auto fails and Free Space auto fails, ecetera. So, you really didn't have the chance to improve. Don't freak out. Your solution to this: Play 6-7 games per day, not too much, even it out. Play with mods, or start playing Stepmania with songs that are a bit over your skill level. For example, I practice with My Spirit Will Go On, because I think it's fun and kinda challenging. I also raise my Constant every week. I started out as C350, raise by C10 every week, and now I'm at C800. It's all cool. Just consistency. Just like sports. Consistency is key! ;] |

Oh well, if that's the case for you.
Seeing how your an Elite FFR Supporter that has no motivation to go play, or feel optimistic.. Meh. I don't get WHY you're turning down all these advices, or words of help that other people are giving you. I know that this thread is a rant thread, but if you rant, and then not take the time solve the problem, or not even try, then you WILL keep on ranting in the future and you WILL feel miserable. Come on, step up to the game. Be more optimistic, try out all these advices that people are giving you, because they are spending their time, typing out a word of help to you. So listen to them, don't turn it down, saying "It won't work for me." Try them all, I'm sure something is bound to work. Nothing is impossible. |

Personally i think the only way to get better is to think your going to get better and play harder songs. Possibly increase speed mod.

@ Onehand, yea i woke up today and im like, "Im probably coming off as i dont want anyones advice," i was juat really pissed off, and and as some said increase the speed mod and play harder songs....2.0 is just too fast to get used to and i already play the uber hard songs and that stuff, usually i play very challenging or challenging.
Like someone said, play more consistantly, i am, i set a goal of 2-3 hours this morning, per day. Lets see what happens

Maybe stepmania would be better for you. FFR might be hard to tell where the timing windows are.

StepMania just focuses on improving YOURSELF, by comparing your scores to your old scores. So, go download a few good packs, a good theme, a good metrics.ini {suited for you}, and you're on your way to supahgodlyness. {With 2-3 hours per day?! Wow, that's a lot of practice.} |

It's a game.
Really, why does it matter so much? Stop beating yourself up for something so trivial.

Well, I don't think you'll ever get an answer that satisfies you here. |

You can rant no ones saying you can't. Just expect to get responses from people if that's what you're going to do on the forums. :3

Don't worry, you'll get there eventually, though I have nothing to say cause' I've been a member for about 1 month and I've AAA'd Turkish March (didn't record) and Dot Death and stuff...but as they say practice makes perfect, it's true

Okay, this is my first forum post in... I don't know how long, but years. I think I have only one prior.
However, I felt compelled to post some advice, so check it.I'm not a pro by any means. I'm pretty good and I can impress my friends, but I'm not that good compared to some of these guys. I've been a member for over 4 years, with a hair over 5000 games played. So, as you can see, I don't play much. Yesterday, though, I had a notion to AAA some songs I never even bothered to play (like the very easy and beginner songs). I had 27 AAAs I think, and I felt pretty good about myself. Now, this enabled me to attack some songs I couldn't do well on before, i.e., Vertex BETA. I just unlocked Color of Giggles, and I couldn't keep a combo to save my life before today. It really boils down to self esteem. You have to want to get better and you have to want to be good. Practice is key, and you should always enjoy playing. Though sometimes, and we've all been there, some of the harder songs just get tedious to learn, FC, and PA. This is when the point of discipline comes in I guess, and you just gotta do it. I really feel like I've improved since yesterday, and I plan on playing a lot more. I wish there was other advice than practice, but there really isn't. *shrug* Then again, it is only a game, so do what you want. |

ROFL what? 3 years and you have 11 AAAs? With that kind of skill?
Let me give you some advice: AAA all the easy songs you can, THEN try to AAA the Difficult ones. Then the Very Difficult ones. You'll see it's gonna be MUCH easier. What I don't get is how you do so crap in Kaleidoscope but you can AA 20031023 which is at least 2x harder? That's so messed... lol |
