Internet Exploder sucks balls, regardless of any and all updates and versions. Firefox wins. Hands down.

Just another problem with Microsoft. They're so vivacious to create new versions of their products, they spend 0% of their time fixing, maintaining and improving the version(s) they already have. IE7 sucked from day 1, they never got it working right. Same is going on with IE8 apparently. Microsoft's OS's are the same damn way. The only successful OS they have ever had was XP. It retained the title with the least malfunctions, errors, freezes, and incompatibilities. Microsoft in general sucks ass. BUT, since they run well over 1/2 the worlds software(God forbid) I, along with the rest of the world, have to settle with using their **** software which they REFUSE to make better what they have but instead making a whole new version. Lame ass microsoft... f*ck it, I'm moving to Ubuntu. Linux FTW.

I find it hilarious how all these people are attacking IE and they haven't even downloaded the damn thing yet. Now I'll tell you that I enjoy Firefox but I don't make unfair comparisons when I don't even have the software on my computer.

I downloaded it.
Did all the security tests on it myself. My theory proves correct |

I love how this thread isn't about IE8 and it's new features and instead is about firefox vs ie.

Haha. I downloaded it and the first two pages I went to were totally screwed up and I couldn't log in to either of them (Nexus War and FFR).

i seriously do use internet explorer, though. honestly.. yeah, it's not as secure but firefox takes up a lot of memory in comparison. also, ive been using the internet long enough to know how to get around it without running into issues (i dont even have anti-virus installed). it's not that hard to do

Never tried FF, so I'm not going to argue against it. But I'm definitely not downloading IE8. I like my IE better.
One day, I'll get FF...

I was gonna give IE8 the benefit of the doubt and run it against FF for a couple days to see how they compared.
But it wouldn't install because it felt I needed some Windows updates. I don't need Windows updates. It lost the benefit of the doubt.

Uh..huh. Does 'benefit of the doubt' not mean anything to you? I was going to give it as fair of a shot as I could, not basing it off others' findings.
p.s. buddy

Going to go home and try IE8 tonight, but it sounds pretty buggy from what I've heard. Overall, FFR performance isn't a great way to judge a browser imo, especially when it's because your grandmother built your computer. I don't know why everyone thinks it seems as if IE7 came out yesterday, there was a very noticable jump between one of the greatest technological failures of all time (IE6) and IE7, and I sure as hell didn't miss it.
