Totally posting during my Music Tech midterm ;D.
@Hoochan, I guess you could also say that I have no intelligence because I am failing multiple classes. Although I happen to be very smart. Same thing with all of the greatest thinkers in the last 100 years. Each and every one of them had some sort of flaw that didn't make them perfect, but wouldn't you agree to say Einstein was a genius? He dropped out of high school. Basically what I'm saying is that some people just lack certain abilities, that doesn't make them any less intelligent. /rant

I did put C. I don't understand what you're saying. >_>
Also, the grading system is different for most every state. An 84 is a C here. EDIT: Also, this is just the midterm alone, the class doesn't play into this grade. The midterm counts 20% for the entire semester. |

Oh, well then thats probably the case
Its pretty easy and straight forward here for grades 90 - 100 = A 80 - 89 = B 70 - 79 = C 60-69 = D 59 and below = Fail I guess i was just thrown off because of how simple our grading scale is.. i just assumed it was like that everywhere. |

We used to have a grading scale where a 93% was a B+. But...that was back in third grade. Now we have the grading scale Drugstore mentioned.
My exam grades were like this: Spanish I - 93% Driver Ed - 100% Chemistry honors - 114% lol. PreAp English II - 96% AP U.S History - 90% Orchestra - 100% PreCalc - 104% Am. Government Honors - 99% At our school, the only AP class offered to tenth graders is U.S History. Also, Precalc is already an "Honors" class, and there is no "honors Precalc." Oh, and I started Spanish late. =) |

lol Canadian grades are easier
90 - 100 = A+ 80 - 89 = A 70 - 79 = B 60 - 69 = C 50 - 59 = D 0 - 49 = Failure I'm guessing 80% of all of these grades are bs. |

I don't see the point of such a lenient grade scale. It would suffer dramatically from the ceiling effect, with differentiation of knowledge and ability impossible. Here most of the class averages center around 60-70 with final marks 50-60 so everyone would be in the D range with that scale. 90% is usually the top 5% in the class. Anyway, I got like 3 As and 2 Bs on my finals, but that was almost 2 months ago. I won't state the %'s since my grade scale isn't inflated like some of them here >_> But I did get 100% on the physics final.

Hah, in BC it's like this.
86-90%=A 72-85%=B 65-71%=C+ 57-64%=C 50-56%=C- ~50%=F ps. I write my History final in an hour. I got 92% in the class so the final shouldn't be that hard. |

I just did my exams. Receiving my marks by Thursday.
The grading here in Canada is different here. It goes: 90-100 = A+ 80-89 = A 70-79 = B 60-69 = C 50-59 = D 40-49 = F > two weeks in summer school <40 = F > one month in summer school All of my exams were easy (easiest was CompSci). Guess I'll be in the Honour Roll again.

Gah I wish we had honors classes. Sadly my school had to fight tooth and nail to get AP credit to count higher than normal classes. That just went into working order last year.
edit- Whoops forgot to mention all finals were taken 2 weeks ago. Starting new semester tomorrow and only class I'm still in is AP US Gov and Pol

We had a "field test" for the TAKS today. Apparently some teacher told his/her students that this test didn't matter and the faster they were done the faster they could do whatever they wanted, so about a dozen kids got demerits and the teacher is in serious **** now.
When I was told about it I instantly thought it was one of my fellow interns. |

I've got my exact scores for my finals now.
World History: 96% Biology: 97% Spanish III: 96% Algrebra 2 Honors: 99% English 2: 95% I only have math as honors because it's the only class I get recommended for since I always do my homework, unlike the rest.

Funny, the grading system here seems very strict compared to the Canadian grading system.
A+ = 98-100 A = 90-97 B = 82-89 C = 75-81 D = 70-74 F = 0-69 o_0

32 in world history? How's that even possible? All it is is memorization.
I just dominated my History final. Also, in Canada schooling is a provincial thing, so grades/classes vary from province to province. |
