Assuming i got the right one, this is a GREAT album.
I wouldnt go as far as saying its their best, but it definitely is as good as the others. Hybrid theory was more hardcore, Meteora was more meaningful and softer, Minutes to Midnight has a mix of both. It seems like there a few different of their singing styles put into the album to make each song pretty different from the others. I rate it a solid 9. |

Yes. I don't think it matches the song at all.

Mike is still in the band, he just went and did his own thing with Fort Minor and from what i know the rest of the band was supportive of it.
And yes, there is a leak and i am 95% sure its not fake. Like what was said earlier, you just have to know where to look ![]() |

Someone messed with the files though. Or so we think.
I'll just go buy it on Tuesday. Linkin Park has the unnatural tendency to release CDs with all good songs, so it's worth paying for them. I don't buy CDs with one or two good songs, so I'm glad everything on Minutes is really good. So far, I think Leave Out All the Rest, In Between, Shadow of the Day, and The Little Things Give You Away are the best tracks, aside from What I've Done. Bleed It Out and In Pieces are pretty good too. ps - they also have this tendency to make me like whatever song is last on any of their CDs the most. Pushing Me Away, Krwlng, Numb, and now The Little Things Give You Away. All of those final tracks are easily my favorites. Last edited by Squeek; 05-13-2007 at 07:58 PM.. |

I'll admit they're emo and that I don't really associate with their lyrics, but they have a unique and amazing sound. ps that concert was amazin~ It was the first concert of the Meteora World Tour with P.O.D, Hoobastank, and Story of the Year. pps hoobastank is awesome live~ Last edited by Squeek; 05-13-2007 at 08:34 PM.. |

In any case, i think everyone at one point or another has listened to and liked AT LEAST one Linkin Park song. Its a guilty pleasure we all once had or still do have. They have a certain style of originality that appeals to many people. |

There new CD is actually good, it just took a while to get used to.
I love there intro things and their song "Wake" is a true testament what it is to get excited for a song. For their softer songs I had to really listen to the lyrics to truly enjoy them, otherwise I was left with "something is missing" feeling. In Pieces is amazing because it applies directly to me, in a recent relationship, actually, most of their songs (if not all) apply to me and I know its not just me, but its not like I go make a shrine about it. I don't like to classify Linkin Park as emo because of the energy that their songs have. This new album is pretty good and I'd definitely have to say that its up there. I feel however it falls behind Meteora and eh, neck and neck with Hybrid theory (I'm one of few fans who liked Meteora better than Hybrid theory, *shrug*). I'm going to buy it anyway, like I do all their albums. Edit: What I've done is good, I like what they did with it and I do think the Music Video is actually quite fitting if you look at it from a cause and effect standpoint.

So far, the only song I don't really like is Given Up. It doesn't sit well with me for whatever reason, but it's still not bad compared to most music that's on the radio today.
Another thing I've noticed is that they finally got out of their generic formula. It used to be: Song. 3-3.5 minutes. Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Slightly different verse, chorus, chorus. For every song. Some songs do this on MtM, but it's the minority, not the majority. Finally. Last edited by Squeek; 05-14-2007 at 12:43 AM.. |
