What game took you the longest to beat?

I don't know why everyone says "omg water temple was a nightmare". Ran it in the same amount of time that I did every other temple. If you look at the bloody map it's not difficult to figure out.

Ironically it was even easier in Master Quest. You could skip 80% of it, too.

Ok, then let's do some math here.

You said you started playing FFX at age 6. FFX came out on December 17th, 2001.

2007-2001 = 6 years.

6 + 6 = 12 years old.

Meaning you are UUA and shouldn't even be here to begin with. Also meaning that I was playing with my Ninja Turtles when you were born. -_-

FFX took me 316 hours I believe and that's between leaving the game running while I do whatever, stat maxing and falling asleep. W/ out either it was 65-69? Can't remember.

Time spent, huh? Not how long it took to beat it? I spend lots of time on games I like.

Over 2,000 hours on GunZ combined between all of the versions, and 1,000 something on Halo. Next closest would be Stepmania(several hundred hours spread over years), then ToS or Disgaea in the hundreds.

I spend a lot of time gaming :/ And I used to play GunZ and Halo everyday for hours a day.

EDIT: Oh, I'm coming up with TONS of examples of 100+ hour games. I must play more than Moogy(or anyone else) :/ God.

no one mentioned pokemon ive never rly beat it but i had over 100 hours on leaf green, cause u cant catch all the pokemon in that game u gotta get a link cable, and a fire red version or saphire,ruby, or emrald to get all the pokemon.

It took me 2 years to beat LOZ: OoT because of the Water Temple. I was stuck in that temple for 10 hrs straight then I gave up when I was, like, 8. 2 years later I decided to play Oot again and I finally found out what to do. From then on was easy to beat.

I had about 300 somewhat hours on Disgaea : hour of Darkness,then I accidentally saved over my file =.=
Then I have around 125 hours on FFXII,not done yet,still have about half of Yiazmat ,the Hunt Club and the fishing mini-game,and then I have FFVIII,100 somewhat odd hours and FFVII with bout 80.

longest played, WoW at 100 days played in a year. Thankfully i dont give so much time to that anymore

Deus Ex, probably. I bought a demo disc when I was 9, and I couldn't beat the demo until I was 10. Then, I realized it was a demo and I bought the real thing. It took me two more months of regular playing to beat the rest of the game.

FFVII (The weapons were what kept me playing), Ocarina of Time(Mostly the water temple and gerudo desert), Link to the past(started at 8 and finally finished at 15 =\), Resident evil 4(I WANT THAT HAND CANNON!)

and lasty one of my most cheerished games, Majora's mask, i don't know what is everybody's problem with it, i thought it was awesome cause there was so much you could do in those 3 days, and the side quests really got you absorbed into the game and attached to the characters. I took up months getting everything in the game and beating every boss with the Fierce Deity mask.

Oh and the water temple wasn't all to hard, it was just frustrating as hell, raising and lowering water levels. I remembered this one time i almost made it to the boss but then screwed up with the hook shot and had to do the whole raising and lowering thing again so i went "F THAT!" and stopped playing for a couple of weeks, then went back to play it again <.<

I'm still doing everything in FFTA again, ahahaa...I've got around 300 hours put into it.

But as for the game that took me the longest to beat, I'd say Advance Wars Dual Strike. The only thing I played for maybe 8 months straight, and I've only gotten through it once. =\
