And uh, guys, there are lots of things that a SSN is good for. I'm pretty sure that's how they keep track of taxes and lots of money things for you. So if somebody else got a job and and gave them your SSN instead (and perhaps made a fake ID with your name on it) they could work their job and come tax time the government would get mad at you for not paying taxes on all the money they've mad, and you'd get in trouble. Plus they could sign up for a credit card and max it, then when bill collectors come just be like "that's not me, I'm not 123-45-6789, I'm 987-65-4321!" and they'd come after you.

Have you guys seriously never heard of identity theft? It can really mess you up. =\
