ok... heres my evaluation of the situation... i know nothing of hacking/value editing or anything else that has to do with cheating the system... what i DO know is that having a slow computer with the right specs slows down the game not makes it laggy... i know this from a years worth of school experience... allo wme to explain..
during our school year we were assigned laptops... these laptops sucked... they were macs.. when i played ffr on the lowest settings the arrows ran slowly.. not laggy but slowly.. allowing me to be able to get "high scores" (as i thought they were back then) on rondo (which was the hardest song at the time)...... also in my computer class when we were supposed to be doing typing projects i would get on ffr and play... another POS computer with the same results... slower moving arrows.. not lagging moving arrows... so with a slow computer it is VERY possible for someone to do extremely well on the harder songs...

I've been thinking about the possibility of a "stepbot" program. It could be possible, but it would require alot of trial/error or access to the timings of the songs. Any high scores generated with this would be impossible to detect, however.

However, this could be possible with MegaMan Wily Theme, since the steps are available on Nestle's website. That would still require trial/error, though.

this is the most probable theory... in my mind... i had never even thought of something like this... i wouldn't think it would be too hard to create either... but you would still hve to be somewhat good to be able to pass the song to see the next part to program into the app. but good thinking SotN

edit: i dont know how in the hell i got my typing mixed up in his quote... but any way... heres the edit..

Heh nice job hyro. Oh yes and 87x typed other stuff inside the quote, it's not the same crap that sotn wrote. (Not implying that the idea was crap of course, good thinking!)

You know if you tell people about the stepbots, it would give people ideas about making a program. I know some programmers that probably can. I've programmed a game similer to FFR, using letters in place of arrows and is extremely hard.

lol....man thats a lot of posts off topic. but (on topic) there are a lot of scores that are impossible to get like on Moonlight Sonata, some guy has over a million...BS. the most you can get is like 300,000...sad that people need to cheat.
