As for western cartoons and japanese Anime. I've watched plenty of both and there is big gap in style, technique, quality. Western made cartoon look as of they took a lot less effort to create, and in most cases it shows real well. Lately western cartoon took a plunge into the deeper hole and for the most part, I can't stand them now. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of bad Anime but there is so much more of the good. In Japan, Animation is pretty lucrative industry, in part of that there is plenty of high paying voice actors and they are celebrities just because of being a seiyuu in Japan. Do you see same thing in U.S.? I don't, ever wonder why dubs are so horrible? ;p

thank you for agreeing (is that how u spell it? ) with me. western drawn sucks. it IS a fact. true anime, with a good story, and lovable ( and love-to-hate-able characters) makes a great show!

Cartoons = American television shows that are animated. ALWAYS ment to be humorous in some fashion.
Anime = Cartoon series from Japan that vary in genre. Drawing style is much different from american style animation as well.

I always know something is anime by seeing if the persons eyes are huge and shiny. I also know if a show is anime because they have really wierd names.
