Person part of the school district: Hmm, how are we going to fix this?
Another person part of the school district: Well we made 1000 dollars last fundraiser for updated textbooks...let's blow it on hiring a random guy to fix the computers!
    Everyone: HELL YEAH!

      Um, no.

The CSA's are "deinfecting" them, when all they have to do is restart the computers, and it's whiped from the C drive, and recursivly delete it from the H drives, and it's done.

I know you are joking, but that is really how school districts run. Well, at least in California.

And I didnt know that the virus was destroyed after the computer was turned off. That's good then. But it still probably cost the school district thousands of dollars...that or a cut in the Art Class' funds....

The best part about MY high school career is that I was admired for breaking restrictions; even encouraged.

The whole purpose of my Senior year was to figure out potential backdoors and ways to take over the system.

Put it this way. Our school was not ready for me. Within a week I had found at least 2 dozen. As the year progressed and the server admin (of whom I got to know personally before he got a promotion and gave me administrative access for fun) patched all the errors, it became more challenging and more fun.

Especially when "Messenger Service" is running on EVERY computer.

              Owned.

Congratulations, Squeek. Your status as a White Hat makes up for your distaste in Star Wars, and you are now a full-fledged Hoopy Frood.

Hmmm... at our school it would be like:

"Well, we just got more money, and the bathrooms are in awful condition, and the computers could use fixing, and I think most of the cafeteria food is contaminated. Lets spend it on a THIRD GYM!!"

Eric - That's schools everywhere. You know what, that's just the entire mentality of the nation.

I know for a fact that my past high school had the exact same thing happen there. The floor was fine, but putting in a new one would make it all SHINY again! Let's go for it.

Not only that, but let's do the other court that nobody uses as well. Oh, and drop $10,000 on some tiles for the floor with the county logo engraved into them.

Hey, nobody needs new textbooks / real computers anyway, right?

If I ever found a guy that destroyed my computer with a virus I think I'd kill him. But against schools it's cool but still viruses SUCK.

I dont get why the Football team has 7 Coaches, yet kids who want to take Art are forced to pay money for supplies since funds were cut. Granted it isnt that much money, but for a public school, that's kind of sad.

Not only that, but we get charged with destruction of school property, as well. xD
