Blue- Lesse...Dream Theater, Oleander, Symphony X, Saliva, Sevendust, Led Zepplin, AC/DC, Metallica, Offspring, Dishwalla, Nirvana, Audioslave, Audiovent, HIM, Incubus, Stone Temple Pilots, SOAD...those are all the bands that I can think of off the top of my head, no particular order, other than that Dream Theater is my current fave.

Interesting.

If you like Dream Theater a lot...why don't you listen to more prog metal groups?
You said Symphony X, yeah...but anything else?
What about Queensryche?

EDIT:
Whoops.
I just realized I might sound kind of like a dick. I don't mean to.
Just take it as a casual suggestion among forum acquaintances.

In order of Talent.

Rhythm and Blues
Ska
Synth-pop
Electronic
Nerdcore
Indie/Experimental Electronic
IDM

Now, there are some Indie and IDM artists who are really talented...but for the most part, the majority of the artists suck.

Punk rock mostly. Blink 182, Story of the Year, Taking Back Sunday, Sugarcult, Bowling For Soup, and Thrice are some of the better ones. I can stand some hardcore, like As I Lay Dying. Classic Rock isn't too bad, I like Chicago's music. And I like some trance.

I hate country, rap (Lil Jon, those guys), and really screamy stuff like Slipknot.
