I want to get a DDR game; what's the best one I should get?

No, no...if you've never played DDR or aren't all that good yet (still on Light or easy Standard mode) then get a soft pad and DDR Extreme USA. It's a great way to get the basic feel of the game without having to waste a lot of money at the arcade.

Of course, once you get to a certain level the home versions just won't cut it (unless you have a really good pad), and then you can own up the arcade.

buy ddrmax1 it has al the hard songs
max2 n extreme have maxunlimited and legend of max but max1 has a better selection than both
max2 isnt bad

Im shocked to see how DDR MAX is being put off. DDR MAX 2 was great and all, but there is no way it could ever beat DDR MAX.

DDR USA:Only like about 15 songs and thats sucky.
DDR DISNEY:Never played it, but DUCKING HARDCORE song is awesome!
DD KONAMIX:Mostly all the Original Konami Songs, there are a lot of hard songs there.
DDR MAX:WAY harder than KONAMIX and a lot of song that i really hate.
DDR MAX2:So many trance which is good. Great nonstop!Buy this game DEFINITELY!
DDR EXTREME US:Eyetoy ripp offf. A lot of good songs but a little bit of 9 footers.
DDR ULTRA:......NEXT!!!
JAP VERSIONS
DDR 1,2,3,4:The graphics is oldies but some good songs that i like.
DDR 5th:All i have to say about this game is, ITS CRAP.
DDRMAX 6th:A lot of trance just like max2.
DDRMAX 7th:songs that show on ffr radio like everyday constantly.i only like the remixes.
DDR EXTREME:It has everything! Jpop rock tech u name it. DREAMING TO BUT THIS GAME!! Its better than all versions for me at this point.
DDR FESTIVAL:It looks gay..but its not out yet
DDR PARTY & the rest:Never played or heard any songs of it except for extra.

O_o Unless I'm mistaken isn't DDR USA the same thing as DDR MAX? If your referring to Dance Dance Revolution(PS1), it was never called DDR USA. Only DDR MAX was called DDR USA. Unless gaming magazines have been calling it by the wrong name for years now. And 5th Mix kicked serious ass.

It's actually really confusing if you think about it. Yeah when DDR Max first came out, people called it DDR USA, but there is ALSO an arcade version called DDR USA which sucks total ass. I think in this case the person meant to say that 'dance dance revolution' (first version for ps1) = ddr usa.

But still, i totally disagree with the way he said that 5th mix sucked. Some of the songs are really good.
