So, from what I can gather, this song comes from a 1991 scrolling shooter, which was then remixed in a 2007 Japanese album that was sold only once at some Japanese convention? And the only place people know about this song nowadays is at some old rhythm-game forum?

This is perhaps the most obscure piece of music I've ever heard.
