It's hostile on plenty of different levels for no reason. We all know what Staiain was trying to say so correcting just becomes annoying and another reason to cause argument. I wonder how it'd go if people remembered that the German language uses the word masculine to describe how to format a sentence, assuming I am remembering this right.

Nearly every romantic language also uses feminine and masculine, like le vs la in French, lol I could never figure out that shit like what makes cheese, la fromage, feminine, like hell if I know lol

iirc there's masculine, feminine and neutral in German, but I've never had any experience with it

i deleted my original post from yesterday because i didn’t think it was worth getting into but after reading brandon’s post i feel like it’s important note that there have been several members who have been perma banned for breaking the rules (eg: excessive posting, inappropriate behavior, etc) after being warned a few times, but yet this infraction system clearly does nothing. i know a lot of people have stopped giving a shit since these forums have sort of died down, but it’s evident that she’s been given a LOT of grace and not much has changed. imagine having to thank a user for following the fuckin rules rofl. we get it, you’re a trans furry girl who feels like there isn’t a rhythm game community out there that meets your level of expectations, but you’re not better than anyone here Queen.

p.s. - you’ve claimed lily to be one of your biggest inspirations but yet you felt the need to correct someone who probably gets misgendered on a day to day basis

A word having the word boy in it doesn't mean it has to be a gendered term like lol even if the person who delivers mail is a female I'd still say "oh its the mailman" so lol who knows

I like this 2pac guy tho, my favorite song is when we ride on our enemies, I like the way u say ur view and ride on ur enemies my nibba, either that or ghetto gospel not sure

French specifically seems completely random and arbitrary. At first I thought it was based on the end of the word but that only works with a minor set of nouns
Being PC in foreign languages would be a nightmare, I misgender things enough without it

gendered languages typically don't use "masculine" and "feminine" with the same denotation that you'd use them in biology or psychology

It's a dated linguistic construct but the labels are just used as categories that dictate their use in grammar or phonology, not as socially normative constructs necessarily (though I think this applies to a few languages? idk)
