Picked up Metal Slug as a nostalgia buy after all those years with friends in the arcades. The price for Cities: Skylines seems steep (especially considering I bought Sim 4 last sale and then proceeded to never play it) but I love the whole world-building concept
The only thing I've bought so far is Prison Architect. Definitely recommend it if you like sims like that
I was looking at it but I'm always wary of buying things in early access. I'll probably stick it in my wishlist and wait for it to be finished before getting it in a future sale.

I bought Binding of Isaac Rebirth and Huniepop. ~______________~ y
Two good choices. BoI is an amazing game, you'll easily put 100+ hours into it if you get into it. With Huniepop, I'd recommend getting the uncensored patch because the steam version is patched. Because honestly, if all that matching doesn't get you naked chicks then what's it all about?

I got Metal Slug 3 in one of the Humble Bundles. It was fun but really short, had it finished in an hour. I guess there's more replayability with co-op and beating your high score though.
For world building, have you tried the Tropico series? I've only played Tropico 4 but it was fun and there was tons to do.
I did get the Minigame working, although it was more like "I waited till it decided to work"
Still, didn't have much problems afterwards though I seem to be stuck around Lv 320. I have no idea how one of my friends managed to get around to Lv 2410.
So far I only bought Hatoful Boyfriend for a friend, and I picked up the newest DLC for 100% Orange Juice. The two new characters are really fun, though it would be neat if they can somehow make new original characters (Might not fit, but hey at least they can possibly make a really unique playstyle with it.)

After the first day, you should have earned a lot of badge points. Even level 320 will get you 32 of them. Use these to buy raining gold (10BP) and treasure (2BP). Use treasure for a quick 100k and raining gold on bosses to earn tons of money.
If enough people in your lanes are doing that you'll fly through levels. All you need to do is boost your health, auto-cannons and boss loot, then leave it and let everyone else destroy everything.
I was happy enough to get over level 1000. Now I just periodically reset myself into a new game to make sure I'm getting the cards for playing.

I was all ready to get with some hot female doves. I didn't realise you were a girl trying to chat up boy birds until after I started, complete turn-off. Played through it once and was done.
I got hotline miami. Why did it take me so long to play these games!?

Considering getting Grim Fandango. Never played the game, always wanted to.
Also considering Invisible, Inc., Black Mesa, TALOS Principle and maybe anything else that catches my eye. The thing is I'm for the summer sale I'm only using what I currently have in my Steam wallet, so I only have about $50 to spend total. Was really hoping to get a better deal for GTAV but after the little stunt R* has pulled I think I'll wait.
I also want to try a 4X game. Something like Sins of a Solar Empire. I've read about it, and always wanted to try it, but never bothered to buy it. It doesn't necessarily have to be SoaSE but I really enjoy Sci-Fi and space exploration, so if anyone has some ideas about easy stuff to get into that'd be wonderful
Also, if you've never played Plants vs. Zombies, go buy it right now. It's literally a dollar. Such a good game.
It is. I generally dislike tower defence games but PvZ is awesome. It was also made by PopCap before EA bought them and raped their soul until it was nothing but an empty husk.

Haven't played Pixel Heroes but the other three are good picks. I was surprised by how much fun I had with Knights Of Pen And Paper (put 12 hours into it).

I've played the original and loved it. If you like point and click games it's up there as one of the best.

What did they do?
At the start you couldn't buy the game by itself, you had to buy it as part of a bundle with either Max Payne 3 or worthless multiplayer money. If you bought it with the money and went online and used it, you were no longer eligible for a steam refund. When it did become available by itself, RockStar had raised the price before the sale so that buying GTAV by itself was the same as paying full price before the sale.
That doesn't seem like a big deal. They aren't obligated to give people a discount on the game. Also who buys games, then plays them and expects to be refunded?

i'm mainly focusing on games i can play on my shitty laptop while i watch TV.
if anyone has any recommendations along those lines, i'm all ears.
If you don't have it already, pick up Hotline Miami; minimalistic graphics but it plays like Contra except top down and not side scrolling. Also the storyline is cool along with masks, weapons, and the secret puzzle.
