Re: Songs of the Week (September 22, 2012)
Based off watching the bot as I am unable to play till more than likely late tonight.
Xanthystrauma: Sheer sex. Pattern choice is bad but you know what **** it this chart is awesome. Thank you for annihilating the ending 12th jacks. Those where rather nasty. Reminders: I can't place where I've heard or played this before, but it seems familiar. Chart looks alright. In an Instant:: I'd certainly have stepped it differently but not bad by any means. Danzai Yamaxanadu!: No comment. (Not bad I just honestly have nothing to say here.) Hello (Luke Da Duke Remix): Doesn't look fun and it looks over charted. Intersect Thunderbolt: More charts like this please. |

Re: Songs of the Week (September 22, 2012)
All songs/charts were good and fun
Xanthystrauma felt more like a 82-83 than a 85. I got a sightread DDG, DDB, SDM. Which is very good for me if it was a 85. Only one other 85 of mine has that good of a score, and I got super lucky on that play. |

Intersect is definitely under-rated. I have a thread in the difficulty section that needs to get vetted. Good warmup song, right up there with Vs Boss. Hello was really fun. Megamon does love those jacks (Infiltration comes to mind), but the rolls felt really nice and clean. WTF random 24ths though. Handjacks in the intro of Xanthystrauma? Whoa. Revenge of Setsujou much. |

Reminders!! <3 have always loved that song since sempus released it. Looking forward to trying the file.
This makes me cringe... guess I'll decide when I play it though

Re: Songs of the Week (September 22, 2012)
Whoa, thanks guys for the amazing feedback. I think that's as hard as I'll ever get when it gets to simfiling (though you never know...), but I'm glad you all seemed to like it even though it was devilish. Thanks again!
Made my day. XD ps: @ Middie; no problem ;D |

Re: Songs of the Week (September 22, 2012)
I looked at Xanthystrauma's frame placements and saw a cameljack and several bad 2 frame placements (not just minijacks, also inconsistent intervals in the 24ths and one of the 32nd walls)
Not playing this file until I make fixes to it.

Can't you make the fixes, Doss? Or is it just in the way I retardedly stepped it?

Yeah I expected Reminders to get a lot of "flows well but long and the ending is understepped" comments. Oh well. I suppose one of those files the judges love because it's ~technically correct~ but then the public doesn't like it nearly as much when it comes out because it's not fun to them.

Re: Songs of the Week (September 22, 2012)
I don't know, I thought it was pretty fun. I would give it a 9/10 for sure.
Not too easy, but not too hard. It's just right where I can play and enjoy the music at the same time. |

Re: Songs of the Week (September 22, 2012)
In An Instant: I absolutely love this song! The chart was a pretty good representation of the music, and I enjoyed playing it.
Danzai Yamaxanadu!: The song was meh to me, but the chart was good. Not too much to say here. Reminders: When I first started playing it the song threw me off a bit considering it was in the rock genre, but after the first 100 notes it brings in the guitar and gets pretty cool. Enjoyed the song and the chart, but watch out for a long roll and some small technical parts that might mess you up if you haven't played it yet! Hello (Luke Da Duke Remix): I thought I was going to hate this so much when it started, but then all of a sudden the song took such a drastic change for the better! Seriously, it went from dull to super sexy in just a couple hundred notes, and I'm so glad it's in the game! The chart just flows so well, and I will certainly be playing it again many times in the future! 10/10 seriously, megamon88 thank you for this file!! Intersect Thunderbolt: After coming from Hello, I wasn't sure if I could like this weeks batch any more than I already am, but I WAS WRONG! Holy crap a speed file with a decent allotment of jacks, and extremely fun patterns all the way through. I got so into it I sightread AAA'd, and was actually banging my head a bit to the song! Seriously guys, this is my favorite weekly song release in a WHILE. Xanthystrauma: Extremely fun! The jack / trill patterns were pretty nice to see in a file like this, and the only real ball breaker is those 24th triplets lol. I did terrible for a sightread, I think I'll be able to really improve later. So yeah, SEXY song releases today.

The patterns are definitely rough but it's mostly about conversion. I can make the changes in a bit.

Re: Songs of the Week (September 22, 2012)
Xanthystrauma - No... I just can't comprehend how badly patterned the ending bursts are and why they were acceptable.
Reminders - Judged this, liked the first version of the simfile better than this. Eh, still pretty fun (how did you find this song). In an Instant - Soothing piano songs from Flashbulb, awesome. Started playing a bit weird near the end of it though, but still stepped pretty well overall. Danzai Yamaxanadu! - J-Pop Drum n' Bass? Flowed well and nicely stepped to the song, good job. Hello (Luke Da Duke Remix) - Enjoying this a lot, very well charted megamon. Intersect Thunderbolt - Finally, FFR needs more speed oriented charts. Glad this one got in, enjoyed it on SM. Best of this week.
