Who inspired you in FFR?

Edit: Started playing DDR in the late 90s, found this site as an alternative to DDR in '03 but it sucked, played dwi & then sm, stealing sims from bemanistyle and here xDD
Actually got around to making an account of my own when the game appeared to not suck any more.

Popmeister-The OG who made me want to become better at this game when I first started. Nobody would talk to me who was a high level player except this guy when I first made an account. Actually cared about me as a friend and encouraged me all the time.

Plan_Bsk81127-this guy is my oldest rival in ffr we used to always be on the same level back in 2008. Great guy we think on the same level which is great because there isn't a bunch of people I can truly relate to, especially in real life. When I came back to this site I first noticed how great his stats had become and knew I could get to his skill level because we were rivals. Now that I am almost there I would say he made a big impact

Aewin999-I found this guy from cosmicm, one of my first ffr friends. He was better then me when I first came to this site but he always told me I could beat his scores if I kept trying. Fast forward to now and he is still telling me to beat scores and encourage me just as much as before. A constant upbeat attitude and very smart, Andrew is a very big part of how I think of this site.

Elite ninja-wow this guy has had some crazy skillboosts. He doesn't play nearly as much as me but he still improves and a very fast rate. I have tried to catch up to him for quite a while now. I finally passed him but I know if he played seriously he would put the pressure back on me and pass me. He pretty much knows all my scores I get just as well as I know all his we are always pushing each other.

Zyphoror-probably the biggest skillbooster on this site recently. This guy will be the next dossar because he is only 15, I mean wtf talk about potential. Dylan is encouraging as hell to me just like everyone else I listed, but his raw talent makes him stand out as a very big inspiration. We are becoming good friends very quickly and will be competing together in d6 next official tourny (he will beat me)

Kmay- this guy is my ***** fo life. He is mostly on ts which makes no sense because ffr is way better but he is still amazing and I can forgive him. Kellen is the guy who convinced me to stop playing screencut 1.0 speed and use speed mods. Without him I would be on a lower level for sure. He was getting way better scores then me for awhile but always told me I was better. It may have been a lie but the confidence boost sure did help to help with this game.

Sk8R43-wtf how does he do the things he does with one hand? I don't know anybody who is a better one hander and watched him progress to that level since I first started playing. He is always improving and sets the bar higher for one handers everywhere

reptile3141-Wow this guy and I have been dishing out no homo jokes since the dawn of time. In all seriousness though this guy was just like me. He played alot and had skillboosted very fast because of it. He is a great friend and can always put me in a good mood(no homo)


Those are all the main people who inspire me but there is a bunch of people who still motivate me and are a big part of this site to me.

My older sister (Crisis_Adverted) - the person that introduced me and Monica (prongsie) to the game. It took me a few months to get adjusted to the game, but she was the one that got me into playing.
TC_Halogen - during one of the officials, he pushed me to try my hardest to make it to the next rounds of the tournament. I could not have gained more confidence to carry on if it weren't for him.

From the beginning, it was Plan_Bsk81127 (first pro I ever met lol), reptile3141 (overall rank 1 player on FFR at the time), SK8R43 (first one hander I met), and Binary Fission (second one hand player I met).
I lol when I think about myself going to other players' profiles and just adding them. xD

The vibrating age (2008) was definitely what made me continue playing this game. This included people such as:
- Eliazzen (an example is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-rwzYxX8cw)
- Henkz (unfortunately this guy removed his youtube account)
- Sakish/Isaac (I'm never going to forget this video, skip to 1:26)
- Xx{neon}xX (like henkz, removed his youtube account)

Then you also had other cool guys at the time, such as:
- Staiain
- Musikkspill community, and several others I talked to on AIM

If there's one single score that made me continue, it was my Jackhammer Madness AAA. Granted it took a shitload of luck and it's never happening again -- that was basically the most influential score I've ever gotten. Whether or not it's my best one, that is debatable

After the vibrating age, it was about close friends. Some old friends left, such as Xx{neon}xX. While there were still those like Staiain, there were more members I started talking to, such as:
- Plan_B
- qqwref
- i love you/Rebound
- DF, AIM buddies, and so on

When I actually went on my FC mission because of all the badgering about me getting into competitive FFR, that was shortly initiated after xXAll-ProXx told me to give it a shot.

Even then, a lot of improvement was self-motivated. I don't have to explain the amount of crap I received years ago, haha

Back when I first played this game, VERY casually might I add, I saw Leonid and Rubix, and I looked up to them. I also saw EAGAMES as a pretty cool guy and he was pretty amazing at the game, too.

Back in the day when index was a popular playstyle my rivals were Brandon and Nemosta. There wasn't a lot of index competition, but they kept matching or beating my scores and made me get better.

One of my friends introduced me to the site. He was better than me for a while (which by today's standards isn't very good anymore). I then started hanging out in MP and watched and versed people like Shash and Bill Clinton (watching him FC Pants back in 2006 was ridiculous). I'd have to say those two were the first to cause me to want to strive to be better.

I watched Vegarddd's dragonforce vids first in 2007, then I watched StepmaniaFreak's videos a lot and he linked a lot of the files he played to the ffr simfile database. I saw FFRTheGame and played for a couple of months and then later on when I found out how to work SM, I saw IzzySM's quads, and I started playing a bit after that. I was about to stop playing because I didn't have any packs at all. All of my simfiles came from the db here, and then Mariocamposo (a really cool guy on youtube who doesn't play anymore) linked me to a huge list of packs and I was like omg this is going to be awesome! He also showed me stepmaniaonline and so I played on stepmaniaonline all the time since. Then in summer of 2008 I saw thaor AAA st.scarhand, and I was mindblown and set a personal goal to AAA st.scarhand myself and be better than thaor overall, and I played for quite a few years trying to get better and better. Stargroup and a ton of other solo players started up a site called keybeatonline and that was my home while ffr was down and I dabbled around in solo for a while. I also saw nekogon's mendes AAA video and wanted to be better than him eventually but didn't have as much drive to be better than thaor, so I never really got good at solo. I then came back to ffr on my own in summer 2011, because I played nearly every pack that matters at least 10 times over and wanted new files to play. So I played every FFR file going for fc's, and then someone told me FFR is more about AAA's and linked me to standalone and velocity's engine.swf and so I AAA'ed as much as I can. Now I'm getting back into solo again because of ben's solo tourney and unreal playing solo.
I think that's everyone that has had a large influence on me xD
