Well then, now to read the Stepmania Detective's Handbook !_!

When playing Stepmania, often 100% attention is payed to the arrows so that the keyboard is devoid of any wave-function-collapsing awareness. At the same time, particular vibrational patterns of playing stepmania may allow the particles of the keyboard to align into something similar to a bose-einstein condensate. In such a state, all wave functions of the keyboard may act as one allowing it to be affected by a single perceptional awareness. Please look at this graph.



However, in order for the keyboard to be in a quantum state without interference from external sources, the wave patterns of the arrows must show coherence. Quantum discoherence will collapse the wave function of each key and the paradox is null.

Conversely, assume someone has a 50% chance of passing One Minutes Edit. If he plays on blind mode (judge off) and covers up the life bar, since the Stepmania is isolated from extraneous factors, and passing a Stepmania song is a quantum event, before the score screen popped up, that person would have passed and failed at the same time!

And being that is true, even if that person quits the song and picks another without looking at his or her score, the score as logged by SMO would also be in a superpositional state until somebody checked it! That means for an existing score in such a state, the observation of that score now could collapse the wave function associated with it in the past!

Obviously, this is all based on the Copenhagen Interpretation of Stepmania Physics, which is based on the wave-particle duality of arrows. One cannot know the BPM and the timing of an arrow simultaneously. There is always uncertainty about the timing window of marvelous, even with Dynamo.

Due to this uncertainty in the wave function of Stepcharts, behavior unusual to classical physics appear at the quantum stepchart level (approximately greater than 200 bpm) and classical mechanics seem to break down around Planck bpm.

However, the Copenhagen interpretation to Stepmania is intrinsically flawed because keyboards are not quantum, nor are they stepcharts. Hence the player's Stepfile paradox stands.

I would like to take this chance to expand on my Stepmania Ph.D dissertation:

This essentially was the first application of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle to Stepmania and proved that due to the uncertainty of timing and bpm of a specific arrow, combined with uncertainty of pitch location or relevance, there is no one correct way to step a song and there will always be uncertainty over the location and timing of the arrows (as dictated by the wave function)
