Okay, I've been wanting some uberheadphones for a while now, but I don't know where to start. I want some "Bose-like" (or better if possible) headphones without the "Bose price". If anyone has some suggestions hook me up dawg.

i've always been a fan of sennheiser headphones. be prepared to do some heavy research when searching for good headphones because you'll be making a pretty big investment. no reason to spend 90 dollars on a pair of headphones only to find out you cant use them for more than 1-2 hours(this is more common with in ear headphones)

Get some nice Skull candy producing headphones, Those are pretty nice and are about half the price of those Bose headphones.

I'm serious, my friend has some bad ass skull candy headphones that are better quality than the producing headphones I have :/ Though they might not be on the same level as Bose, they do the job, and are no where near that price.
So YEEEEAAAAAH

I used to have Bose, and it lasted a lot longer than all my other ear phones combined. It was damn godly <3 Best ear phones I had.
But I will agree...the price is pretty ridiculous, but it could or could not be worth it.

They have some phones that fit under hats/helmets though, which can be pretty useful.

I went with the Sennheiser HD205 II's:
http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/s...-34109026.html It's hard listening to anything else after listening to these damn it. I have a pair of random earbuds I use for jogging and they sound like absolute garbage compared to the SennHeisers. I might become an audiophile now... |

Some earbuds have fairly decent sound quality; I own a pair of Yuin PK1s (got'em cheap) and they sound pretty good, and better when amped (I don't have an amp myself but I tried it out on one of my friend's)
Earbuds are pretty much as low budget you can go for audio quality though. They tend not to deliver sound as well as IEMs or circumaurals, for obvious reasons I've really been meaning to by some over ear headphones lately. I'm torn between Fischer FA-003 (really slick reviews for neutral sound), Fischer FA-011 (apparently also very good), and Sennheiser HD555s (my friend has one of these and I quite like them) RIP wallet

i cant stand over ear headphones at all. so in order to get decent sound quality i have to dish out 80+ on good IEM set. though i do always keep a crappy pair of earbuds with me when out and about and at work

They have headphones designed to fit in ski helmets, bike helmets, w/e. I haven't really found any other headphones that do that very well. Plus, they fit in perfectly with the hilariously absurd and clown-like freestyle skiing fashion. Obviously you don't use them when you're not shredding the gnar, but for that purpose they work splendidly.
