You mean Chad Kroeger (sp?) and Kurt Cobain. I don't really agree with either, personally.

Re: Lead singers
Animefreak, you're ON THE INTERNET. In the time it took you to type out "i dont remember his name" you could have found it and not looked stupid...again.
Justin Furstenfeld (Blue October) is up there for me. He's got a really unique voice and I've never heard someone sing with such emotion behind his words (mind you, I haven't heard their two recent albums). Iarla Ó'Lionáird of the AfroCelt Sound System is a really good singer, praised all around, but he's the lead singer in a couple of songs that are just boring as hell to me, but whatever. Oh, and Raymond Cheng, of Final Cut. =) --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

Re: Lead singers
Davey Havok of AFI. He's got a nice voice, especially in Miss Murder.

P.S. Dave Grohl is a decent singer, but he's a much better drummer.

Re: Lead singers
Little Jimmy Urine
EDIT: Now that I can say a little bit more... I know the whole "OMG MSI" fad is played out, but Jimmy honestly has the most vocal talent of any of the bands I've ever heard. He can sing high, he can sing low, he can rap, he can sing touching ballads (Ok, well that last one might be a stretch). Especially if you listen to MSI's older albums, he really does a lot of crazy vocals. Nowadays he does less awesome falsetto in the albums, but live he constantly makes changes to songs, inserting new lines, or changing the pitch of the delivery, giving the song a totally new sound. He is truly the most gifted artist of today's music scene. Last edited by mead1; 08-24-2006 at 01:08 PM.. |

Re: Lead singers
Eddie Vedder does all that stuff, and he's much better at it. Except maybe the falsetto part.
